Tried it a couple of times, legs and :sleepy: , and it didn't hurt too much, but I guess that was because it didn't really work. Only half of the hair came off. Maybe I did something wrong or I used a bad product... but after that experience it was back to shaving for me.

But for those of you that can afford it, i really suggest LASER hair removal..

It really works and it's soo amazing! I haven't done it since i got married bcz i feel bad having my husband pay so much.. I first started laser in the bikini area, and then i started with my underarms...

They ask u to have like 6-8 treatments for it to be efficient, and maybe once a yr after that...

Bikini cost me $230/treatment

Underarms was $100/treatment if i remember well..

Do any canadians know of SPA DIVA?

Sigh - the things girls do.

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!

I tried to do the "self-waxing" at home............................couldn't bring myself to pull the darn strip. It is expensive but I try to find the $$$ for someone else to do it

I tried to do my legs myself once and after one strip I was like, WHY am I putting myself in pain? I couldn't do it either! :P I also bought those pre-waxed ones awhile later, they don't work either.

I was also sorely disappointed in professional waxing, she left a lot of hairs around and said plucking was all she could do (that hurt a million times worse than the wax) and didn't even wax everywhere because she said I should have trimmed some areas first (no one told me that when I called for an appointment). BIG waste of money in my opinion! Maybe other places do it better but the service here was terrible....I definitely did not get my moneys worth.

mmm, might have to look into that... I am tired of shaving my legs... my hair grows so fast.... I have to shave every damm day

Maybe laser hair removal is the way to go? It's expensive but you only need to do it once.

Well as you can see above, Nina said that it takes about 6-8 treatments of the laser for it to work plus yearly touchups. So, laser would definitely be expensive and take multiple trips, but it does seem to be effective....

when i did my underarms the first time, i only did a test on a little area.. I swear, the rest of the hair started to grow, except for that little area which only started growing back 2 mths later... And the hairs were sooo soft.. And after doing 2 treatments, my underarm hairs started growing back after 5mths or so..

As for the bikini area, I only did 4or 5 treatments b4 coming to the US...I haven't done it for 2yrs, and ive shaved since then, so it's kinda like i have to start my treatments from scratch.. But i swear, after like the first treatment, i had no more and i still have no more on the bikini LINE..

Laser hurts so much less than waxing..It feels like someone's snapping an elastic on u, that's all..

The reason why u have to do several treatments is bcz your hair grows in different cycles..

One thing i have to add though is that doing laser on the legs would have cost me 500 DOLLARS/TREATMENT, so i would suggest for women to just wax..Unless u got the moula for it!

That kinda thing here in Brazil is cheap..... about 10 dollars to get your legs done and 7 dollars to get a brazilian bikini wax (well I guess anything would be brazilian wax here.... ) done and 5 dollars to get your eyebrows done. So I just get it all done every 2 weeks.

Hot wax works the best! I'm not afraid of it at all..... but if I was going to do it myself I'd try one of those kits instead.

Good waxing girls!!
