Form 129F, question 14

Hello fellow visa journey adventurers,

This is my first post. I'm starting my petition for my fiancee's K-1 visa.

On form 129F, question 14, I am asked if I ever filed for this or any other alien fiancé(e) or husband/wife before.

My situation is unusual, I believe, because I filed an I-130 in the past, but withdrew it a month after the filing because we separated and begun the process of divorce. I have a letter from Homeland Security confirming the withdrawal.

Do I still check the box for yes on question 14? If so, In box 14.h., do I say that the "result" was withdrawal of petition?

Your case is not too unusual. You're thinking too hard about this- just breathe and answer the questions as asked.

It's asking if you ever filed before- the answer is yes.

If it asked if you had ever been approved before (which it doesn't), in that case you could say no.

You should include a copy of the withdraw letter with your case to make things easier. Perhaps you could write the situation down- that you filed and then you guys began the divorce so you withdrew before approval.
