Hi Everyone

I've been reading and re-reading this post since we got our Noa2 and it's honestly such a God-send.

We're currently waiting to get our case number so in the mean time I'm trying to prepare everything else that I can right now.

I got my immunisations record from my GP but I can't work out if I've got everything I need for the Td/Tdap. My record says:

June 1989 - First DTP (triple) + polio vacc

Aug 1989 - Second DTP (triple) + polio vacc

Dec 1989 Third DTP (triple) + polio vacc

May 1990 - Measles/mumps/rubella vacc

Jan 1993- Booster (single) haemophilus B vacc

Feb 1993 Booster DT (double)+polio vacc

Nov 1994 - measles vacc

July 2014 - Low dose diptheria, tetanus & inactivated polio vacc

Any ideas? I'm hoping what I had in 2014 will be sufficient, but worried because it says "low dose"

Also while I'm here, does anyone know why they look at your "external genitalia"? Some theories I've heard are to check your gender and others are to check for visible signs of some STI's?

9/24/2018- Package delivered confirmed

10/19/2018 - i-551 stamp at infopass appointment

10/26/2018 - 18 month extension receipt notice received

Have you ever had chickenpox in your life? If so, make sure you tell them this. You may need an up to date MMR possibly and a flu shot. DTP you had recently should be okay. The MMR is a two dose shot needing some weeks apart, but you should only need the first dose to pass. You can get them from your doctor and should be able to get a flu shot from Boots (make sure you keep proof of that). Or you can get it from Knightsbridge directly, but it will be more expensive.

Yes they do check your bits. It was strange for my husband (and probably every person who goes), but it's quick and nothing to be worried about. The doctor never stated why they were checking, but does inform you that it has to be done. He was going to ask the doctor why... but you can imagine the flustering it causes. ;)

My assessment of your shots--

MMR- need a second dose. You got Measle Dose 2, but no Mumps and Rubella.

Tdap/Td- okay. Your July 2014 shot covers the 10 year rule.

Varicella- Tell them you had chickenpox and make sure they mark the waiver code by it.

Influenza- Get a flu shot

When my husband went to the medical the doctor told him it was a gender check. He asked if he ever got any hiding there gender. Doc replied, "You'd be surprised". Other people have been told at the same clinic it was checking for signs of STDs.

Can only vouch for boys but the doc did the old cough and drop with me

I think that was a courtesy to you while he was down there and not required for immigration purposes. :P
