Anyone waiting for an interview in Miami? It seems we are pretty behind schedule here.

Not in Miami, but it seems that most, if not all of the Florida offices are backed up. We just scraped through Orlando office last week after filing in October. I know of at least one other person from Miami who is still waiting and who filed before we did. Hoping they hurry up and get you guys through the process quickly!!

Not Miami, but in Tampa (assuming my case has even got there).

No movement or updates on my case since November 27th. Have now contacted my local congressman as after numerous calls to USCIS no-one seems to have a clue what is going on with my case, nor where it actually is ("sorry, we don't have access to that kind of information" they say....)

Only bright spot on the horizon is that I've just checked the USCIS processing time for Tampa, and they're up to October 22nd filing dates now. Mine was filed November 5th, so getting close. Though as above, that's assuming my case is actually there and not stuck at the NBC/ Lees Summit lock box.

Hi Chas
If you call them they should be able to tell you where your case is. I asked when I called a couple of weeks ago and was told it was at the local office.

In other news, more than two weeks after approval there is no news on the actual Green Card for me. Daughter's application was approved a couple of days after mine and she had her card two days after that. Apparently I can't chase it up until I've waited 30 days beyond approval (even though the notice says 21 days). I shouldn't complain. But I really just want to be done with this for a while

Hey everyone, well the journey is finally over for me :). I received my Green Card in the mail yesterday!

Just to keep you informed on notifications inconsistencies, here is a quick recap of the last 2 weeks:

- Tuesday May 3rd: went for my GC interview with my husband. Unlike a lot of people, I didn't get any notifications either by email or text in the hours following.

- Monday May 9th: got the "Welcome to America" letter in the mail informing me that I would receive my card in the next 3 weeks.

- Wednesday May 11th: got a text saying that I-130 is approved.

- Thursday May 12th: got an email saying that I-130 is approved (usually I get the text and email right at the same time...)

- Saturday May 14th: got an email AND a text saying that I-485 is approved, and that my card has been mailed. Weirdly enough, the email says "The tracking number assigned is UNAVAILABLE. You can use your tracking number at www.USPS.com in the Quick Tools Tracking section." However, when I logged into the USCIS case tracker on the internet, the tracking number was right there :bonk: . This is really nuts!

- Saturday May 14th: CARD IS IN MY MAILBOX!

So all in all, it took 192 days / 6 months and 9 days between the moment I posted my application to the moment I had the card in my hands. I guess it's a pretty average timeline for my situation, which was adjusting from a E2 work visa to permanent residency through marriage. I'm really glad I didn't spend money on a lawyer for a process that, luckily for me, was rather uneventful.

Anyway, congrats to anyone who also got their card, and I'm really wishing the very best to the rest of you who are still waiting, and/or struggling to get any info from USCIS. I'll check the updates to see how everyone is doing!

My case was sooo similar.

My interview was on May 2nd. We didn't receive any email or text notification either. I was worried because the IO told us it could take up to 2 months to get my GC.

On May 6th I received my welcome letter with approvals for I-130 and I-485

On May 7th my GC was in my mailbox

On May 13th I received emails and Texts saying my I-130 and I-485 were approved. I was like... you must be kidding me! almost a week since I received my GC.

With all the delays (it took us 2 months to send back the RFE), our process took 173 days since we apply until I received my GC. Now, I just have to wait 3 years for citizenship

Hi Chas

If you call them they should be able to tell you where your case is. I asked when I called a couple of weeks ago and was told it was at the local office.

Thanks Wbeem, I suspect that if I had asked for a Tier 2 officer then maybe I would get the location of my case (the Tier 1 officer "didn't have access to that information). I held off from asking for a Tier 2 last time as I wanted the "not knowing where there case is" situation to be one of the reasons for contacting my congressman. If I knew, then the congressman could get told that Tampa is only up to October 22nd cases and I would be told to wait. The fact that the Tier 1 couldn't tell me was a good issue to bring up with him (including the fact that my case hadn't been updated since November 27th, nor that they acknowledged receipt of my RFE in December).

I've not heard anything from my congressman yet, so I will chase him up this week. If I get no joy by involving him, then I will indeed call USCIS and ask for a Tier 2 officer next time.

Hello everyone, hope everyone is having a great day. Well Its my first time posting on the group and I wanted to ask If anyone has an idea hows the process going at the Houston Local Office. I sent off the whole AOS package in November, 16 2015, my son(k2) and me(k1) already did Biometrics, received EAD on February, but dont have a clue what's going on with our I485. Last time back on December, they asked us to provide an updated Affidavit of Support(RFE), we followed the process and a week later they received it, they posted on the system, this will be under revisión and theyll let us know what would be their decision. Now that was back in January 5th. We are May 19th, and haven't gotten any answer on what's happening. I checked about my case and online it shows as received, by phone they tell me my case is on Missouri or something like that; however when I made an Infopass Appt, the officer told me my case already in Houston. Did anyone on here went through the same, or something similar, if so please let me know what to expect. Thank you so much, and have a blessed day :)

Hi all,

It's been a while since I posted on here but my husband is still waiting for his greencard as well. We mailed our AOS package on the 7th of November ot was received on the 9th of November. We got an a RFE back in December which we replied to bon December 22. This os were USCIS system stopped updating our case. It still shows that they they received the RFE response from December. The thing about that in February I received a second RFE about my husband vaccination which lead us to having to redo the entire medical again

. We mailed it off March 09 and the haven't heard a thing from USCIS since. We called to see if they received it spoke with a tier 2 officer who said they don't have access to see if the RFE was received. At that time my case was in New York so I don't know if it made it's way down to Miami as of yet or what's going on with it.

Spoke with my Congressman's office earlier. They managed to find out that my case is in Newark, though why it is there when my local office is Tampa is anyone's guess (and the USCIS helpline people kept telling me my case would be in Tampa, when I called, but of course couldn't confirm for sure). Worse still, according to USCIS processing times Newark are only up to 26th April 2015 for I-485 applications compared with October 22nd for Tampa. Why on earth they sent my file to an office that is over a year behind when it would move faster through my local office is anyone's guess.

My Congressman's office are waiting for more information from USCIS with regards to my case (such as whether they have received the RFE sent last December) and will email me the results when they get them. Hopefully some progress will be made, but if my case is in Newark then that's not good news seeing as how behind they are.

Hi November fillers, anyone still waiting for EAD?

I'm pretty sure almost all November filers have received their EAD/ AP cards by now, and you should have also. Checking your VJ Timeline it states:

"Based on timeline data, your EAD may be adjudicated between January 14, 2016 and January 20, 2016*.

If this date range has passed or your application is past due per USCIS processing times then you should consider calling the USCIS to inquire on your petition. If you have been approved please update your timeline."

I'd be getting straight on to USCIS and asking what's going on, and due to the length of time you've waited (you should have received your EAD back in January) you should be able to put in a Service Request also.
