Still waiting for my initial evidence letter.

I have been told twice by a supervisor that they have mailed the letter out but still nothing.

I have to call back next week if I receive no letter.

I have an info pass appointment next week and I am thinking,is it worth going?

Approaching 100 days this Friday! !

I didnt apply for my advanced parole when I applied for EAD and 485. Still waiting for an interview to be scheduled for the CG, but got my EAD a couple of weeks ago. Just wondering - does anyone know if I applied for AP right now, is there a fee? And how long would this take approximately? Is it worth doing or should I just wait for the GC?

Thanks guys

I would just take the SSN card to the DMV and tell them to use that info. Maybe go to a different DMV office; you may get better service there...

I gave them the SSN with the EAD because it's required as part of the 6 point ID verification system here in NJ.

Is your SSN in your maiden name? They made me change mine to my married name to match the EAD and I'm just waiting on that to get my license... if you have those both in your married name you should try going to the DMV in Mt. Holly, they are pretty helpful / not stupid most of the time

Nope, married name, and I this has all happened at the one in Mt. Holly! They have been extremely helpful with my car and license for the most part. I checked SAVE today and the inquiry has been completed and sent back to the DMV so I'm just waiting for them to call me and let me know about it and tell me what was wrong.

I have that same situation. NOA 11/25 for EAD and i485. EAD received last week. Need to go out of the country in early May so I was told I could still file for AP. There is no fee you have to pay as your i485 is pending (you will need to include a copy of your NOA as proof of ongoing i485). My case was just received yesterday so Im waiting for receipt# and hoping for a quick turnaround. If you need to leave the country soon you should do it, I should have done it when I sent i485 but was not expecting a long AOS process. Still have to see how fast they are able to process application.

Thanks,

Thank you so much for your response and experience. I guess I'll have to consider my options. Is anyone else still waiting for a GC interview to be scheduled?

And how long after the interview is the GC issued?

So weird thing happened today. My EAD got approved (status went to Card being produced) - however also today I got an RFE for my AOS dated the 20th. How odd. Surely the RFE delays the EAD? So how did they approve EAD today? I did speak to my local congressman and I think they influenced the EAD approval. I just hope it doesnt get delayed due to the RFE. Just a bit odd that I was approved after and RFE was sent

I am sorry to hear about this. I was having an Infopass appointment because I was past 90 days and had still not received my EAD. Unfortunately they could not do anything for me regarding my EAD, but I had an expedite request for the EAD and they mailed me a letter which I have not received. So at the Infopass appointment they printed out the response they sent to me. You might get a print out of your RFE there maybe?

URGENT!!! Our interview's tomorrow and just realized don't have Joint sponsors birth certificate or employer letter (not even a copy of what I submitted) It's pretty dumb and very worried. I do have his W2, tax return for 2015 and last 4 month pay slip.

so how important it is to bring the birth certificate and employer letter copy for a joint sponsor to the interview?? he is in diff state so to get original is impossible

my intérview at 12:45. Any advice or your experience will be great.

So I received an RFE Jan8 from a Nov filing because they said my husbands medical records did not have vaccines attached...go figure $500 incomplete exam...but regardless we did not receive the RFE physically until like Feb 1. Received his shots on Feb 18...uscis received his envelope Feb 22 through FedEx and I-485 approved Feb 24. message read:

Case Was Approved

On February 24, 2016, we approved your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status

Does he still have to have an interview? I know some people who did not have an interview.

Is anyone else still waiting for a GC interview to be scheduled?

Yes, still waiting for an update on my I-485. Last was on November 27th when I received an RFE for Initial Evidence. That was submitted and received/ signed for before Xmas (confirmed by USPS tracker), yet my USCIS case tracker still says they are waiting for initial evidence before they will begin working on my case. I've tried calling USCIS a few times and they say that my case is still within time limits and that at this stage they can't find out whether the RFE evidence is in my file or not. Very frustrated at this, just feel as if I am in a complete limbo with no idea what, if anything, is actually happening with my case.

Congrats! I received the notification of approval this week now waiting the EAD card itself to travel abroad. Was it delivered to your address or to your lawyer's (if you have one)? Also, did your case status changed to card in production or any information about mailing or after the approval information you just received the EAD card after 4 days? I am waiting for mine also from MO to FL. Hope it arrives fast!! Thanks!
