Hello All,

EAD card was received today. After reading many cases in this post it seems as i485 is taking longer than I expected it. Unfortunately I didnt send i131 along with original packet. My wife and I need to go out of the country in May and depending on our luck we may or may not have i485 approved by then. Is it possible to still file i131 at this point? If so, will there be any extra charges or what would be the chances of having the AP approved before May? Thanks in advance for your help.

No, you do not need to pay an additional fee if you send in the NOA for your I-485. You are good!

"Note: If you are filing Form I-131 Application Type B or D, you filed a Form I-485 on/after July 30, 2007, with a fee, and the Form I-485 is still pending, then no additional fee is due for Form I-131."

What is type D? "Advance Parole – Type D (pending I-Form I-485; pending Form I-821; or approved Form I-821D)"

Can someone please advice.??

While sent in my application for AOS on NOV 17th, surgeon marked 'insufficient time interval' for few vaccine shots. One of them can be done after a month which I haven't.

Should I have to take the shots before my interview on Feb 25th since it's been months or immigration requires only one??

What you guys did?

Thanks for your help. :)

Super dumb question (probably) - while I know my case went to the National benefits Centre in MO at some point, how do I know which field office my case is being dealt with at? Just wanted to take a look at the processing times information on here at the USCIS website.

No, you are not required to get the booster to get approved. See this thread, second message: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/551080-immunizations-ds-3025-or-i-693/

Not a super dumb question! If/when your case changes to "Ready for Interview" the case may be transferred to your local office. However, just because you get that message doesn't mean it has or will be transferred. Your GC may be approved at NBC if you qualify for an interview waiver. You may get a NPIW or you may not. At this point, I haven't been able to tell how NBC approves AOS GC's. It seems like its random. I understand that if the applicant had an interview at the embassy, you have a higher chance of getting an interview waiver, but some people have waited 6-12+ months after they received a NPIW. Meanwhile, other people are getting approved for their conditional GC within four months! Who knows....??

It does seem rather random - with some people on here getting their GCs without interview as you say. Thanks for the info. I wasn't totally sure how the process worked from here on. I had my K-1 interview at the embassy in London so hoping I qualify for a waiver haha!

Also, judging by this (https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-uscis-office/field-offices/alabama) my local field office is Atlanta. Would I have to travel to Atlanta to have an interview or would it take place at the local office I had my biometrics done at? Just out of interest?

Hey everyone - update here.

I just checked my mail today and I received an I-485 interview letter for March 16th in Mt Laurel, NJ.

The USCIS website (actually the entire system) seems so unorganized for me. My I-485 status hasn't changed since Nov. 18th and still shows Fingerprint Fee Received, even though I have the appointment letter now. My I-131 AP status changed to RFE the same day that my I-765 EAD changed to Card was Mailed, however I received a combo card for both EAD and AP in the mail a few days later. I called USCIS about this and they submitted a service request to find out about the real I-131 status 9 days ago and it has still not been assigned for processing. I recently received the I-797 that also says both are approved.

Meanwhile, the DMV is telling me that my EAD isn't verifying in SAVE and they have submitted a case inquiry to USCIS also about that. There is one more business day left in that time frame to respond, but I don't have my hopes up (lol). So I am still stuck with a Canadian license. I am worried that this problem with my EAD will affect me applying for jobs :(

Summary: I wish USCIS was perfectly perfect!
