My NOA1 for EAD/AP was Nov 27th. Still nothing. Submitted online form check and tried to expedite (submitting evidence this afternoon)

Why is this taking so long? Im on 84 days. Ridiculous. I need my EAD!

Finally my status changed this morning to 'card being produced'. After 110 days since filing, 2 service requests, and 2 expedited service requests! To say that it came as a relief is an understatement. I also received a letter this past Tuesday, saying that my green card application is in potential of being approved without an interview, that however, due to back log at Lees Summit (where my application is for some reason) they are behind 6 months! I think this may also have something to do with such a delay on my EAD approval.

Thats a hell of a long time for EAD! Do you recommend I keep sending requests online? Im only at 84 days but I desperately need it.

I feel your frustration also.

I received an RFE nearly 2 weeks ago and for whatever reason and on the letter it just said 'they need initial evidence'.

It never told me what for but when I called and got through to a supervisor,it just has my case waiting to get processed still.

I put in for an info pass as my 90 days are up.

It is so tough not knowing what is going on and what is going on with my case.

Its just a dreadful system. There are people after us who have already go theirs, thats whats so confusing...

I guess I just have to keep waiting - I sent expedite evidence today (just a job signed job offer) - not sure what good it will do. Just going to keep hounding them, although not sure what good that would do either..

It sure is!! I hadn't even received RFE's to delay the process. Pretty sure I have been bordering on insanity - which I am sure we can all relate to. If I was you I would continue to send requests online, as well as giving them a call - my last call to them was on Tuesday where I asked for them to add additional comments to my last expedite request, which means it again had to be assigned to an officer which seems to have done the trick - if that is even related! You can also try and get an infopass appointment -
https://infopass.uscis.gov/info_lang.php?sel_lang=en.

Means you can actually go in and meet with someone about your case face to face. I have one scheduled for tomorrow that I am still going to keep as don't know what is going on with my AP application and just to make sure everything is on track.

I'm sorry you guys are still waiting too after so long!

I am beginning to think are some cases even going through the hands of the USCIS or is most of the process all electronic.

I find it hard to believe that some person working for the USCIS sent an RFE for an 1-485 with no information required what is needed.

I have an info pass requested as my 90 days from the receipt date of myI 765 is up.

On a.separate note,

I would still not feel relaxed until i physically got a work card in my hand as it seems the USCIS are making mistakes.

It must be the hardest country to get a work card/citizenship for..

I am in the same situation, if I don't get my EAD next week to start 1st March the job is gone. I did everything possible so all I can do is wait and see.

Here is my time line and effort to get it expedited

09th Nov 2015 AOS/EAD/AP was received by USCIS

01st Dec 2015 Biometrics taken

21st Dec 2015 Biometrics taken again cause FBI were not able to read the first fingerprints that were taken

23rd Dec 2015 RFE for additional evidence

ALL APPLICATIONS RELATED TO AOS ARE ON HOLD

02nd Feb 2016 RFE received by USCIS

02nd Feb 2016 EAD Expedite request

08th Feb 2016 Made an Infopass appointment

09th Feb 2016 Went to my Infopass appointment to get an Interim EAD or any answer. Interim EAD doesn't exist, my case is in MO so they can't help me.

Asked if I could get an appointment at where my case is, not possible as well.

09th Feb 2016 EAD Expedite request response by mail saying they will review and get back shortly

11th Feb 2016 Another Expedite request

17th Feb 2016 Same EAD Expedite response by mail like I got before

17th Feb 2016 Email to Congressman, they contacted the USCIS about my case and will get back as soon as they hear anything

Today I am at day 101 but only at day 60 minus the days where they waited for my RFE response so we will see. Good luck to everyone and hope your infopass will be successful.

Hello All,

EAD card was received today. After reading many cases in this post it seems as i485 is taking longer than I expected it. Unfortunately I didnt send i131 along with original packet. My wife and I need to go out of the country in May and depending on our luck we may or may not have i485 approved by then. Is it possible to still file i131 at this point? If so, will there be any extra charges or what would be the chances of having the AP approved before May? Thanks in advance for your help.
