Hi everyone

I put in a Service Request for my EAD (form I-765) yesterday, I checked the USCIS app this morning and my EAD was approved, which is great news.

However, my AP (form I-131) has not. I tried yesterday to put in a service request for the AP but the automated system wouldn't let me, the message reads that it's within the processing period despite it being over 75 days.

Has anyone else had this problem? I wasn't too concerned since the EAD was more important, except that I got a message from home about a family emergency and so travelling is now my priority. I'm aware I can visit my local USCIS office to expedite the service, but I wondered if anyone else has any experience with this and whether I can expect my AP to be approved soon.

There was someone else on here who had both approved (got letters in the mail) but one of them was never approved on the website.. it was just a mistake. Hopefully that's what will happen for you! You can always call them to put in a service request too.

Congratulations on your approval yes it is quite possible that your AP is approved but not updated. I was going out of my mind because everyone was getting approval text and email for both yet I only got the email showing EAD was approved. I ended up getting a my Notice of Approval showing both the EAD and AP was approved. When I got the combo card it was for both the EAD and AP. Just as a side note if for some odd reason they didn't process the app you can go to your local USCIS by making an appointment and get a AP approval the same day

Bloopygirl and Ethline, thank you so much for your advice. I'll give USCIS a call and see if I can put in a Service Request for the AP. I'll give it a few days and if all else fails, I'll go to my local USCIS office.

Good news! The husband was offered a job this morning! Now we just have to wait for his EAD card to be produced and mailed.

He was really at the end of his sanity rope from not working since September.

I have a question. So I mailed out my package on 11/26/2015 and received receipt of notice on 12/2/2015. I had my biometrics taken on 12/28/2015. The thing is I did not include I-864 along with my application, now I have it ready and waiting for RFE to submit it through. I notice that a lot of people receive their RFE on a day or one day after their biometrics. It's been more than 30 days since biometrics and nothing has changed on my case status. I wonder what I should do.

Hm, it's strange indeed. I suggest you to call USCIS and tell them your situation. Maybe they will have you a useful answer or just you make them to check your case and pay attention.

I have sent a normal service request on Monday, since Tuesday ("our request was sent to an officer to response"), nothing has happened. Today, we called them and they suggested to make an expedite request, so that's what we gonna do. But it seems in some cases it doesn't mean anything. Have you tried to call them and ask a TIER 2 officer and ask an update?

This is just my experience, but a TIER 1 officer is usually much more nicer, than a TIER 2

I did call them yesterday and the tier 1 couldn't tell me anything other than the canned response of "you have to wait up to 30 days" then she transferred me to a Tier2 who said the exact same thing...Ughhhh

It's been 81 days since the NOA dates on my documents for EAD and AP (Nov. 16th). I've had no RFE's and my service request was completed last week, but that didn't budge anything. Other than that I haven't heard a single thing. I'm assuming, from previous posts, that calling doesn't help much either if you've already put in a request? I'm just hoping it gets approved soon!

. Im in NJ too, my husband is adjusting from visitors visa and our NOA is Nov 9 , no biometrics appt, we made inquirys in January for biometrics and EAD, it says completed in the website and that they sent a response but nothing yet.

My EAD hasn't gotten approved too.
