Yay !!!

I got approved today (well actually yesterday) :-)

Boom !!!!!

When did you put the expedition request? When did you get the "completed" message? And did they ask you to send by fax your offer letter?

Just as I ask yesterday about the promptness of USCIS responses to case inquiries, I get my letter back from them yesterday afternoon. As others have intimated, it seems the RFE for the I-765 also resets the 90-day processing clock for the EAD, so more waiting. Not pleased, but there we are.

So what did the letter you received say exactly? And was your RFE regarding the I-765 or for the I-485?

Sorry, should explain myself better!

My RFE was received in December for the I-485 (relating to the I-864 affidavit in particular - it was an oversight on their part in reality, but that's besides the point now) and our response with the evidence they asked for was received on December 31st.

I was under the impression this would not delay the EAD, however, following my case inquiry, I got a letter saying this:

"Recently you contacted us regarding your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization. Your case is within our current processing time. Our systems show that we received your response to our RFE on your Form I-485 on December 31st 2015. Your Form I-765 will be processed within 90 days of the receipt of the requested evidence."

In other words, they reset the clock on the EAD. I'm not overly bothered about waiting for the Green Card, but getting the work permit is the key to unlock not only work but a driving license here in AL, or so I was told by the DMV.

Yeah, annoyingly, I was told that it wouldn't affect them processing my EAD. When I think about it, considering the EAD is applied for on the basis on an accompanying Adjustment application, I guess it makes sense that it would delay it too.

Later Saturday the case changed to approved. I haven't received an update since, but yes that means no interview. I've read that a lot of people coming from a K1 don't have an interview because we already had one. I assume it will comin in the mail within the next week or so like the EAD. Congrats!!

Today my USCIS case status change to New card is being Produced!!!, never saw case approved , its direct from fingerprint received to card produced, is that mean GC approved without interview and how long I have to wait to get it physically?

New Card is Being Produced

On February 2, 2016, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number MSC....................., and will mail it to the address you gave us. If you move, go towww.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Well, this is not necessary truth. I read somewhere here, in one of the subforums that there are two kinds of RFE: Request for INITIAL evidence and request for ADDITIONAL evidence. If you were asked for an additional evidence, after USCIS get your response, they will CONTINUE processing your case, meaning for example they sent you the RFE on the 10th day, after the requested evidence, they will continue it as on the 11th day. In case of INITIAL evidence, they stop working on your case and RESTART working on it after they got the requested evidence from day zero. And as a plus, EAD is processed in the National Benefits Center, AOS is most likely transferred to a local office.

Hope it is true:) I have sent a service request yesterday was my 75th day since EAD/AOS/AP was filed. I have got a response today that was assigned to an officer for response. As far as I know, if my case has been within the 75 days, the system would have automatically sent me a message that my case is within the standard processing time. Or I'm gonna get a very bad news soon from an officer..:(

Let's hope for the best!

Bogi&Nick is right, you should check if you got a RFE for initial or additional evidence, that's where the difference is in terms of stopping and resuming the clock, or resetting it completely.

A friend of mine filed Oct 2015. REceived an RFE Nov for i-485 regarding i-864 but she still got her EAD/AP this January. :)
