I just got the text a few minutes ago that my husband's I-485 status is now New Card is Being Produced!! We just got the work permit this week! And I'm so happy that we bypassed the interview stage. That's insane!

Where? In your USCIS account? I don't see the tracking number anywhere under there.

Also, for some reason my I485 was updated again to say the exact same thing it's been saying for almost 2 months, that they are ready for an interview and will send me a letter when the interview has been scheduled. Has this happened to anyone else?

Also - has anyone else ever had a 'we will schedule your interview and mail you a notice' appear and then all of the sudden had their GC issued instead?

Hi everyone,

Finally i got my EAD yesterday afternoon.

Filed service request on 1/20

status changed assigned to office and complete 1/20

approval notice 1/22

filed another service request card not received on 1/26

status changed to card mailed on 1/27

received the card on 1/29

the reason received in 2 days, USCIS ships the cards via USPS priority mail. on the other hand i got in my maibox regular envelope from USCIS (2 pages) it describes me my approval etc.

now will apply for a SSN.

hope above information helps and hope all of us get or GC before april :)

when they mail it the tracking number appears on your file status page

Yes. We actually had an RFE because I started the paperwork right after the k-1 visa in summer and used an outdated form. They received the correct one on 12/30/15 saying response to RFE was received. That was the last update until today.

Congratulation!!!

Hey hey. Same thing happened to me. I got my NOA1 on Nov 12th, and then NOTHING. Here's what I did.

I made an infopass appointment and went to my local office. They showed me that I had a biometrics appointment that I already missed because I never received the letter. They gave me a copy of the letter I was supposed to receive, so you could try that.

I was then told to mail a letter to this address, that handles scheduling the biometrics appointments, and ask for them to schedule me a new one. You could try the same thing. Make sure you give them your receipt numbers and stuff like that.

They didn't help me on the phone either. They were clueless.

4/21/2016 - Got green card! :) No immigration worries til 2018!

Well my EAD was approved last week without getting the biometrics done but I don't know if they will actually send me the card until that's done with.

by the way - if you are pregnant in NJ, if you don't have any health insurance you could try applying for NJ familycare :)
