Hi all.

I've realized I was posting in he wrong AoS thread! USCIS got my AoS stuff on 6th November, and I received my NOA on November 9th. I did have an RFE regarding the I-864 (even though I think it was a mistake bearing in mind we gave them everything asked for in the instructions!) but I was under the impression that wouldn't affect the work permit, despite it being linked to my AoS application.

Today we are at 82 days (although only 53 working days, technically) and the case status is still stuck at 'My case was received.' Submitted a case inquiry on the USCIS website the other day as they say you can do so after 75 days. Will keep everyone updated, but wondered if anyone with a similar submission date to me has had any better progress?

Hi guys

Just thought I'd throw my two cents in here in case anyone had similar issues/worries.

As you can see from my timeline below, I've just had a really long wait for biometrics and EAD/AP approval.

I have a biometrics appt now next Monday, but AP/EAD was approved yesterday/today - I guess that means it's approved pending biometrics.

I filed a service request on 15th January and received a response 19th January (no text nor email but...) 4 days later my biometrics appt letter came through.

Got my EAD/ AP combo card today! In total, it took 85 days from sending the AOS package, or 79 days from receiving the NOA1 for the AOS.

Next step, apply for a driving licence and likely take the driving test again!

Oh My.... Rec'd a text msg this AM on the EAD case. "As of Jan 23, EAD card was ordered." But no news on the AP and GC cases yet... Does anyone know the approval period for AP and green card? Thanks...

My AP and EAD were both approved on the same day. After that, I only got updates for the EAD case number (it was being mailed, it had been delivered etc.) As the EAD and AP are a combo card, I guess from the point of approval onwards they only regard it as an EAD card (though with AP included) for official status updates. My EAD card clearly states at the bottom - "SERVES AS I-512 ADVANCE PAROLE".

Congrats! How long from approval did it take for card to be mailed and then delivered?

All timeline information regarding my K1 and AOS is in my signature!

Official approval was January 20th and the card was received at my home address on January 26th, so that's just six days. I don't even recall seeing a status update regarding "card production". On the official notice from USCIS it states:

" You can expect to receive your card/document within 30 days of the approval of your application. If you do not receive your document, please contact our National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283. "

Therefore mine might have been very speedy, and others may have to wait up to 30 days (though I suspect nearly all will be quicker than that).

I'm pretty sure that for K1's, the AP only comes as part of a combo card with the EAD. Saying that, I was notified of my EAD and AP approval on the same day and at the same time. Maybe keep checking the USCIS status?

looks like we have to wait to see same message as you saw. currently mine is saying;

On January 22, 2016, we approved your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization , Receipt Number MSCxxxxxxxx. We will mail your approval notice. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

We received email on 1/25 about AP, then we got email next day about EAD. Funny thing was approval date on both was 1/25, but EAD wasn't updated on USCIS til 26th.

Received text this AM that "AP Document was produced". So looks like both EAD & AP are finished and expect the combo card to arrive soon. Next up is the green card; still no news on this yet, latest status is still "Fingerprint fee was received".

Hey guys! This November filers forum is so awesome. It's the only thing that keeps me half same!!

I have a question for you. I put an expedited service request 2 days ago and today it was posted that my case was assigned to an officer (the expedited request). Does anyone has experience with how long on average it might take for the officer to review the case?

I will highly appreciate any response to that! And good luck to every one on this process. It's the most psychologically draining thing I've ever encountered...

I think that's just one of their standard replies. For the most part, I think the filers in this thread gets approved within 1-5 days from the day of service request; but that might all be just a coincidence... LOL... You can check out the timelines or signatures here and see the average days. GL with your process from here on...
