We only filed on the EAD case number, because honestly its the only one we're really concerned with right now.

I just tried to put it a service request online on the AP case; it said that I cannot because the case was still within their processing timeframe. But really our concern is only with the EAD right now. The AP will be automatic with the GC. Anyone knows what the processing timeframe for the Green Card? Thanks...

I believe 6 months is the standard processing times, or the minimum that falls within processing times.

WOW this thread is really helpful!!! I'm so glad I found this!

As you can see from my timeline I filed my AOS on Nov 4th and it was received on Nov 6th. As of today I still have received no response regarding my EAD. I just put in an online service request this morning. As of right now it still shows "As of January 25, 2016, your inquiry about the status of your Employment Authorization application, referral number SRxxxxxxxxxxx1MSC, is currently not assigned for processing"

I'm hoping to get an update soon :( My patience is running out!

I heard that they just approved the EAD and update its case status; they would proceed to send out the EAD/AP Combo card, then update the AP status later.

My husbands AP case was approved this morning, but the EAD still says Case Received- no approval yet. We filed service request on the EAD case last Tuesday- says it was assigned, responded to, and closed, but no movement yet.

Called USCIS to see if I can find out what is meant by 'service request has been completed'. No information was given. I was told i should expect an answer within the next 30 days, when I asked how I would be informed, I was told either by text, email, or mail. So you know - unlimited possibilities.

I just wanted to find out - anyone who has done their biometrics in December in California - we're all still waiting for our interviews to be scheduled right?

Hi there!

I'm on my 66th day of waiting for the EAD (filed for AOS 11/19/2015) and yesterday I received a job offer so today I've called in (USCIS) and put in a service request for an expedited process. I have a few questions for the ones that might know the answers...

1)Does anyone have a recent experience of what happens after you put a service request?Does it help? how long does it take to see progress?Does it not help?any experiences?

2)If you get an RFE at any stage, does that reset the 90 day clock to 0 or not?

Is anyone here adjusting from H1B?? :/

Am happy that I got an update on my i485 application that interview has been scheduled for end of Feb. But the other 3 (AP/EAD/I130) still have the same status as case received.

I am fine as I have my H1B valid till end of April but just confused with process and curious if this is normal??
