Has anyone experienced going through this? How long and for what reasons? Our petition was put in Administrative Processing recently looking for a little hope we can get through it feels like were doomed.

See above for the many many others in AP. it is fairly common and can last various lengths of time. I would also suggest looking in your country's forum and your regional forum for others in like situations.

If they kept the passport at the interview that is generally a good sign and could most likely mean the wait shouldn't be much longer. Have you sent an inquiry to the embassy?

Best of Luck!

Did the CO during the interview ask for additional documents? If yes, check your email (spam filter also) for a 221g - document request.

If no, then the AP is the normal process, everyone does time in AP.

Same thing. Also said to register delivery address online, which had already been done prior to interview. Checked CEAC 8 hrs after interview complete and had already changed from administrative processing to issued.
