Passport is rejected by NVC thrice, Even though there isn't any errors in the opy

Hello All!,

Today i have three another email from NVC stating:

Please submit a copy of the biographics data page of this person's passport , inlcuding the expiration date of the passport. The passport must be Valid.

I checked my passport copy and it has expiry date mention on it, which is 29 Dec 2019. I cant fathom what are they trying to say?

Who should my husband contact to understand what do they actually require.

This is the third time they have rejected my copy.

Is it possible they mean someone else's passport (co-sponsor or something)?

Is it clear that that is the expiry date, and is it written in a US date format?

Did you send a passport as proof of US status for the petitioner and/or joint sponsor as well? Maybe the copy is for one of those people and not for the actual beneficiary?

The thing with NVC is that you don't get to talk to the person reviewing your case when you call, you just get some NVC rep that can only tell you what's in the checklist.

Have you checked in the Pakistan specific forum about what to actually send when it comes to the petitioner's biometric page? Maybe it's different and NVC is expecting something specific for Pakistan?!

no my passport has never been stolen and i have never reported it being lost,

I changed my name after marriage and applied for the new passport on my new name, The authorities in my country issued me another passport and cancelled my previous one!

I have since being travelling the current one, and have no issues in immigration ever)

(Refer the Passport copy i sent to NVC, The date of expiry is clearly mention and the format is DD-MON-YEAR)

I have attached the screen-shoot of the NVC letter that we have received yesterday,

There is no co-sponsor in my case, my husband is sponsoring me.

Expiry Date format is DD-MON-YEAR, and i assume the copy we have sending is quite illegible!

all i want to know is why do they think it isnt valid ... while i am in dubai on the same passport!

Don't get hung up on the wording in the checklist. All these checklists are standardized for each issue. So anyone where they need a copy of the passport will get the same checklist.

You really should ask this question in the Pakistan specific regional forum. I had a quick look at NVC and under passports for Pakistan it says that "the essential element of identity is generally the name of the father and, in the case of a married woman, the name of the husband". So could it be that NVC is rejecting your passport because your husband's name is supposed to be on there or something? Like I said, post in the Pakistan regional forum, because then you'll get answers from others going through the process in Pakistan and there will be people there with cc from NVC, who knows what NVC is looking for.

I was stupid to share the images! got very frustrated with the visa process! i will try to call NVC today and will talk to one of the representative!
