I'm an USC and I would like to petition for my mother to come to America. She is currently living in Hanoi. Has anyone here gone through this process? How long does it take from the day of starting the application to when she receive her immigrant visa?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

No, you are the first person to petition for a parent. LOL. Of course. There are lots of people who have gone through the process of bringing a parent to the US. Many of us are Vietnamese too. How long does it take from the day of starting the application to when she receive her immigrant visa? About 1 year.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Follow the Guides. It's very easy to petition for a parent.
