Hey,

Our Visa has been approved, I'm just at the stage of preparing for the medical + interview state. There's just a couple of conflicting sources that I'd like to clear up.

On here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/474161-london-k1-a-complete-guide-do-not-post-questions-in-thread/ under(Application for the Visa/Getting an Interview) it says "Schedule and attend a medical." then step 3 is to notify them that you are ready for an interview.

But here http://london.usembassy.gov/iv/fiance_instructions.html

It says

Step 3 - Schedule a medical examination with the Embassy approved physician. All visa applicants, regardless of age, require a medical examination. Information about the medical, including how to book is available here.

Step 4 –Once you have completed steps 1-3 above, notify the Immigrant Visa Unit that you are ready for an inteview by using our Notification of Applicant Readiness online form, here.

TLDR;

Do we have to attend the medical examination before we notify them? Or as soon as we book an appointment and have a date we can notify them so they can set an interview date? How does it work exactly?

Second Question - For http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-134.pdfQuestion 7; would this suffice for the financials (the top part of the question is filled out) Are they looking for more / do we have to fill N/A? I know they can be funny with that http://take.ms/Ph8Bh

Thanks

What do you mean 'your visa was approved'? It does not sound like you've had medical/vax nor interview yet?

Did you mean your petition was approved and sent to NVC and then proxied to the Embassy?

Alex, I do believe it's the exact same step. Both links say that step three is the same, no?

Schedule a medical exam, then let the embassy know that you are ready. I would see what date your exam is, then email the embassy with your case number to ask them for an appointment for a week or two after that date.

Alex--

Three things have to be received at the embassy in London before you will get an interview. It doesn't work like Amhara suggests.

1) DS-160

2) Medical results

3) Readiness for interview form (which is saying you have all your documents in hand including I-134)

You can make a medical appointment and inform them you are "ready" by submitting the form before you go to the medical appointment, but they still won't give you an interview date until they receive the medical results.

Or you can go to your appointment and submit the readiness form the next day. Sending it real early does not influence your interview date.

I do not understand what you want to know about the I-134. Explain better.

Hey Nick,

Thanks for clearing it up. Ok, Question 7 on the form we have http://take.ms/Ph8Bhfor the financials, does this seem ok? Or do we need to fill in $0, N\A on the blanks? I just know they can be funny about that.

Thanks

Oh..I see. The link in the first post didn't open. You do not have to list your assets if you have enough salary. You do not have to put 0 or N/A. An employer letter saying you make that much is a good proof London will like.
