Hi there,

So my fiancee has sent back Packet 3 (completed Form DS-160, scheduled a medical, sent out Notification of Readiness) but she is moving back to her parents house.

I can't find any concrete information on how she can change her address? Is there ONE place that she should email or a form she needs to fill out?

This is with the Embassy in London regarding a K1 Fiance visa. Only reason it really matters is that they send her interview appointment and then her visa/passport via mail.

Also, will this at all slow down the process of her getting an interview date?

Thanks!

She can report it to the consulate with their contact form. http://london.usembassy.gov/niv/visa_contact_form.html

I would tick the reason " My inquiry concerns immigrant visas and is not covered by information on your website" because it is the immigrant visa unit that is working on her case.

She can also correct the information (address) on her DS-160 by retrieving it then submitting it again. She should save the new confirmation page so the embassy pulls up the most recent version (using her confirmation sheet) when she goes to interview.

From the London FAQ page about the DS-160;

I have made an error in the data entry. Should I correct it/is there anything that I can do to correct this?

If you saved the form as you were completing it to either your hard drive or CD/USB, you can go back and correct any errors that you have made and resubmit the application. If you did not save the data then you will be required to complete a new application.

Nich-Nick,

Thanks for your quick response!

Just to confirm, if she put the new address in the DS-160 form already, then she's all set and nothing else needs to be done? No point in reporting it to the consulate contact form?

You can do both. She wants to maximize getting it changed so she receives the appointment letter.

My fiance just had to report his change of address and this was exactly how he did it. He simply filled out the visa contact form and he received a response within a day and gave them his new address.
