CRBA - Are We Screwed?

OMG need lots of help here. So my wife gave birth overseas in the Philippines. They wanted info on me, the father, for the birth certificate. So we gave them my ID. Now that we got the birth certificate we see they spelled my middle name wrong. They have Wesly instead of Wesley. The CRBA instructions say they won't accept applications with misspelled names. The agency in the Philippines that handles the corrections says it will take at least 5 months. That's crazy! So we have to wait another 5 months now for my girl to come home!???

Thanks for the help.

I am not sure about what their specific instructions say, but they legally have to accept it if you are the biological parent. It doesn't even matter if your name is not on the birth certificiate or someone else's name is on the birth certificate; citizenship at birth is based on blood relationship only.
