When to file for Citizenship

Canadian Citizen & US GC holder

Married to USC since 2007 - IR-1

I got my GC three years ago in December 2012. I returned to Canada after couple of days to sell my house and wind up my accounts and other matters.

Moved to US permanently in Feb 2013 and have been working full time, living with my wife and kids with all the accounts/cars/insurance etc etc.

I have been to Canada three time to visit my siblings 3 times (twice for two days and once for 10 days).

I have also been to overseas twice (once for 14 days and once for 21 days). My passport has stamps on entry/exit.

So total I was out of US for about 100 days in last three years. Should I wait for few more months before I can apply or its OK to apply now (almost 25 days till 3rd anniversary of GC).

In Canada, the general rule was (it has been changed) that you must complete 3 years or 1095 days within 5 years to be able to apply. I don't want to rush unnecessarily, only to find that my stay in US is not sufficient and I should wait for few mor months.

Please let me know what should be the safest approach.

Also, what kind of evidence do they need? We had our child born in US two years ago and other kids goto school for last couple of years too.

Based on your information, you're eligible to apply for citizenship under the 3 year rule. Your total trips are all within range and did not disrupt your continuous residency cycle. An individual can apply 90 days prior to the 3rd anniversary of being a permanent resident ( "resident since date" ) as shown on your resident card. According to the information you provided, you became eligible sometime in September 2015 as you officially became a permanent resident sometime in December 2012. The only other requirement is being married to and sill living with same U.S. citizen spouse for 3 years which I'm also pretty sure you've met.
