Looks like you're out of luck. Probably need to check FL Site/DMV.

http://www.usenglish.org/view/305

Could search other states that support it for supplementary materials for the manuals/guides so you can learn the rules in arabic.....but seems likely in FL you'll need to test in English or some other accepted language.

How about starting with some English lessons? Those will probably come in handy as you're living in a English speaking country :-)

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.

Hi,

Very few states gives the driver's test in Arabic. Unfortunately, Florida does not offer the test in Arabic. Florida only offers the test in English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole.

http://www.usenglish.org/view/305

There are many websites that will share or sell you the answers to the driver's test in English. You may want to look into this.

Best of luck

My husband's reading level isn't great, but he studied the driver's manual very hard for a week and passed it. I highlighted all of the important bits that would be on the test for him. Maybe a friend or family member can help you that way?

He took the written test instead of the computer test because you can see all of the questions at once, and you have more time to think about the answers.

Alternately, in AZ at least, you can hire a translator to read the questions to you in your language. Florida probably allows that, too.

Look for a GED course and inprove your English skills / many states have free English courses / we found one here thru the community college

My husband's English is decent / he is taking the course with many who speak no English

You really do need this for what will come up later / applying for work / at any job / and maybe your citzenship

If you need the license faster, study with your spouse and know the road signs

anyone from Morocco reading this, i suggest you learn to drove while you are still in Morocco as lessons there are so much cheaper than the US

I paid the fee for Adil to learn before he came / it taught him how to handle the car and traffic / and road signs are about the same except the the Miles to kilometers

Also his license is good here for 6 months while he studies the US handbook and learns his way around the area

Thank you, for your responses

I have a driver's license Moroccan, and I know very well traffic laws in America, and I know a good deal with driving a car ((a good driver))

I want to get a driver's license, so I can go to learn English (((I know very well that the English language is very important to live in America)))

The nearest place to teach the English language, far from my home, half an hour by car

My husband is very busy in his work, he can not take me for language classes

I do not know why in the state of Florida, I can only pass the test in English, Spanish ?????

I wish you could understand what I want to say. Sorry my English is not good

Quite frankly I think people are lucky any states support other languages at all. SIGNS are in English. Its very nice some states are considerate and support it but where would it stop at how many languages a state would have to support? you're in a catch 22 predicament, trying to get a DL to learn English that requires transportation.

I would only suggest alternatives to learning english in order to pass DL requirements in FL and then continue with the classes?

No local tutors or church groups or other closer ESL options?

Florida can not offer the test in every language. There are hundreds of languages. English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole are the most common in the state, so that is why the state offer tests in those languages.

It would be very expensive if Florida decided to offer the test in everyone's native language. I would demand one in Vietnamese. Another person might want French. A third may want Thai. Where does it end and who pays for it?

Hey my husband was just asking me if he can use his driver license from Morocco here too. I said no but maybe I'm wrong, guess I need to check out the state DMV to see what is the laws on that. He will be happy to know that he can use his license until he studies for new one here in our state.

I mean no offence but why should you be able to take the test in another language? Spanish is generous at best as the usa is not a bilingual country. It's best to learn English as what happens should you have an accident and no interpreter? Or are stopped at a traffic stop? Reading special signs on the highway (ie; special alerts)?

What about doing an Internet English course of your spouse is so busy?

Do not think there is any State that gives new residents 6 months before requiring them to have a State license.
