Is there any way that we can check on the processing of the Biometrics for the EAD and AOS? I don't expect for there to have been any action on my husband's AOS since biometrics since our local office is almost two years behind in processing. However, our NOA date for the EAD is December 29th and people have already been getting their EADs with dates in the middle of January. The EAD hasn't been updated since the day after biometrics and no touches either. I'm just getting nervous that something is holding up the EAD approval. Hopefully our file didn't get coffee spilled on it on the officer's desk.

Hi Molly:

Liam had his biometrics done on 22 February (for both the EAD and AOD). His cases were "touched" on 25 February and we have heard nothing since then.

MSC acknowledges receipt of his applications on 27 December (although our letters state they received them on 19 December). I called last Friday 10 March and was told that because their system states that they received the applications on 27 December, we have to wait before we can actually call to get information. The customer service person stated that BCIS is still within their 90 day processing time (the 90th day isn't until 30 March) and unless the processing date according to their website (which is January 19) ends up being 30 days (that date would have to be 1/27 instead of 1/19) or more after the receipt of our application we have to wait until the 90 day processing period is up to put in an inquiry.

Like you, we are a bit worried.

I do hope they are just slow and haven't misplaced things. Since your applications and ours are still showing up in the system with no change, we can only hope that they haven't been lost and that perhaps we will be in receipt of good news really soon.

Good luck!

Lynn
