One more update:

Medisys obtained my results on Nov 11th. They paid for an expresspost through purolator in order for me to have my results the next day. Drove to Ottawa to send the results through Loomis yesterday (Nov 13). Loomis guy said it usually takes about a week for the visa/packet to chow up at their courier service. Granted, on the information page the embassy gave me about mailing documents, it says to allow 6-8 weeks for them to review it. Hopefully Loomis was more accurate but I'll just have to wait and see.

Update:

Called Loomis today and they said my package was delivered to the Montreal consulate on November 16th. I emailed the consulate today to ask how everything was going and they said they have not received my medical and that it would take up to 8 weeks once they receive it to process it.

I don't think I'll be there for Christmas. Has anyone ever gotten a refund from Medisys or any kind of compensation? I'm extremely disappointed that they're adding two more months to this already long process.

If they needed some specialist to analyze your results, it is what it is :(

There is no guarantee with the medical exam, that you will pass, or that they will be able to issue the results promptly.

I hope the Consulate will treat your documents and issue your visa soon.

The medical place said all my results were fine. Not too worried about the actual results restricting my immigration. More just feeling defeated because of all this happening. This will be the second Christmas I miss and I can't even visit because the embassy has my passport.

Thank you for the kind words.

When you contact medisys to book the medical, are they flexible with the date?

We want to fly out to montreal and have the medical prior to the interview for my husband but don't want to stay any longer than necessary in Montreal.

We know we are looking at about a 7-8 day trip so that we get the results back and there will be a weekend in there somewhere.

Waiting for next batch of interview dates to open & get our scheduled for January.

They seemed extremely flexible with dates when I called them. They said results take 3 days to obtain, so that's not too bad if you're staying a week in Montreal. While I was not happy with their service, my situation seemed like an isolated event and hopefully you'll get your results on time.

Good luck on your interview! Hopefully the next batch comes out soon!
