I submitted my application for I-485, 765, g325, 693, 864 on august 28th. And 2 months later, I get notifications and a receipt number for my i485. And i had to move because of a job, which i filed AR-11 to get my address changed online.

First off: that AR-11 online form is flawed, it does not allow me to file change of address for all my forms (my i-765 did not appear on that list). 3 days after my AR-11 filing, I was told my apartment number is invalid, so i called them and asked for a representative to change my address manually. I was told that they cannot change my address for me till November 29th because i just filed for change of address recently (it has to be 30 days between each filling apparently.), but i can file another AR-11 online which can be processed immediately (no time limit on this, #######?). I did that and till today (Nov. 5th), i have yet to receive any form of notification.

Second: I called USCIS today to check my status on i765 as I need that to continue working (current authorization expiring soon.) Then i found out something else from the representative: I SHOULD RECEIVE A RECEIPT FROM EVERY APPLICATION I FILED, BUT I ONLY GOT ONE. So i was directed to a i765 representative, and they mentioned that my new work authorization was sent on OCT 29, but it failed because of invalid address. Here is the thing: my old address is valid, my new address is valid, even if my AR-11 did not go through, my old address will still get the mail. ALSO, I DID NOT GET ANY FORM OF NOTIFICATION OR TRACKING NUMBER FROM USCIS. The i-765 representative said she did not see any form of change of address on file, so most likely my work authorization card is lost. So, if my card get lost in any part of this process, i HAVE to pay $300 to reapply, and the application will take another 2 months to process. IF I DID NOT FIND OUT ABOUT THIS TODAY, EVERYTHING WILL HAPPEN WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE. (note: the representative gave me the tracking number, and that is all the information i have.)

Third: Today, i checked my status and apparently i am moving on to interview process, and same thing, NO NOTIFICATIONS. What is the point of filing g325 then? Is it too hard to have a single button to process an automated email service?

All in all, I think the departments in USCIS have a very bad communication system and it needs to be fixed. I understand you people have the power to say "If you don't like it, don't apply to migrate here", and we can't do jack sh*t about it. At the very least, you were paid with the taxes by your people, migrants and legal/illegal aliens. Don't create a system just the sake of it, it is a waste of money, thanks.

I am assuming you meant, and filed, the G-1145 along with the rest. The G-325A is a required biographical data form to go along with the I-485.

You would not have to pay a fee to refile either. The fees are waived for the I-765 and I-131 when filed with a pending I-485. You would just need to include a copy of the I-485 filing receipt. If you are going to have an interview soon, then refiling might be pointless since it would take about 60 days to receive it. Though you could always ask for an expedite after you file.

Have tried creating an account online? you can view the history of all case numbers you have. I had no tracking number for my ead too and it was just delivered and my status changed. However, with the online account I opted for texts and email notifications and they were accurate.

I'm for the expedition too, some people have had good luck due to high financial loss.

Thank you for the correction, it was indeed G-1145. I will get an online account right now, then my question persists, what is the point of having G-1125 if it is not going to get utilized?

As Kay said, it will be pointless to file for another work authorization since i am moving on to the interview process. But, I have not get a date for that yet, it might be end of this month, December, or next year, who knows? It is USCIS i am dealing with. i will not be able to work if my work authorization expires, i will even lose my driving license. Which means i will have to survive with no income till god-knows-when USCIS interviews me, then wait again for result. That's why it is important for me to have work authorization while waiting for result. Application fee for i-765 is waived for the first application with i-485, then i was told that i have to pay $300 to reapply for i-765.

I don't know why do they have to make it so difficult for people to live with their loved ones, more importantly, i came in legally, followed all instructions, and this is what i get from USCIS.

Category (c )(9 ) - adjustment applicant, has no stipulation about it only being waived with initial filing. Even renewals are free under this category. If you are requesting a replacement EAD, then yes, you would have to pay the fee.

Try to track down your EAD first. Check online to see if they provided tracking info, and also check with your post office.

And you should have gotten e-notification of your applications being received when filing the G-1145. You can make an account with the USCIS and ask to be e-notified of updates to your case. Also, yes, you should have received a receipt notice in the mail for each form. People adjusting from a K-1 usually receive 3, 1 for the I-485, 1 for the I-765 and 1 for the I-131.

I am adjusting from F1, I got my receipt numbers for 795 and 485 now, after several calls to USCIS. Also, till today, i765 representative are still trying to put the blame on me for not changing my address (which i did), and saying my EAD cannot be forwarded because it is USCIS property. I moved and changed my address before my EAD was sent. I was offered no apology, and they refused to hear what happened or what i did. Their response was "You have to change your address whenever you move, and you have to call us to confirm.". So apparently after filing AR-11 i have to call them to change my address again (why not just abolish that online part and have all applicant call them to change the address)?

So I did just that (because according to them, my first change of address was faulty) and the customer representative said "We cannot change your address manually for your second filing until 30 days after your first change of address was filed; but, you file a new AR-11 which can be processed at a much sooner date". i don't understand..

Anyway, I found my EAD, which is going to be sent back to USCIS center, and SOMEONE will contact me soon to resend that. Spent 4 hours trying to sort this thing out. Still unsatisfied with USCIS, very inefficient.
