"Congratulations, your visa has been approved. You will receive your visa within a week."

this the same words i hear to and he say come to ARAMEX to get your visa next week , and now its almost 1 month ...

but i see women get approved faster than men, so if any woman here that hear them say come get your visa next week that mean its true maybe before the next week i have seen so many case, but for men will take more times...

anyway good luck to everybody ..

All this waiting and bumps in the road.. I thought the interview approval was our victory, but I won't feel like we did it until my finance's plane lands here. Lol! It'll all be worth it in the end, though. Good luck to the coming up interviews this week. I believe there's one tomorrow and on the 8th.

I agree victory won't seem real until the plane lands!

Thank you for the well wishes - we are gearing up for our interview this Friday, the 8th. I know there are numerous checklists available, but could I just check with you our application, since you just passed it? Just to double-check we haven't forgotten anything!

My fiance will bring with him:

- copy of entire K-1 petition

- valid passport

- unopened packet from medical consultation at approved doctor's office

- receipt of online submission of DS-160

- fiance's original birth certification and English translation certified by approved translator

- fiance's police certficate and English translation certified by approved translator

- fiance's court record and English translation certified by approved translator

- fiance's celibacy certificate and English translation certified by approved translator

- 2 color 'full-face' photos of fiance

- evidence of relationship: 3 photo collages, printed photobook, Skype log, postcard from US, copy of SMS between us written down (Is this helpful?)

----> Is this enough? Any other ideas?

- original I-134 affidavit of support (one from US fiance and one from co-sponsor, including recent tax returns)

----> Is there any requirement for the accompanying bank statements to be within a certain time period? I did not see any guidance on this.

I think that's everything! Thank you very much for taking the time to check.

Also anything to worry about with the questions? Were there very many or any tough ones?

Thanks again - good luck to all,
Sarah

I'll ask my fiancé to get on and double check. That all looks good. The two photos are supposed to be passport style and size. The bank statement I sent was from the beginning of October. I don't know of any time requirements. He did get asked severel questions that were very personalized to our relationship, about where I was born, are my parents still married, what our plans are after getting married, etc., but he said it was really easy. He answered with "I don't know" a couple times, but as long as you are honest it'll be fine. The CO didn't even peek at my finance's packet or evidence that he brought in. He seemed to have our case memorized from the petition I sent in. He gave my fiancé all of the evidence I sent and our pictures I had sent. Overall, it was an easy experience. Good luck to you! I'm sure it'll go as smoothly as ours.

Our visa changed to Issued today!

Thank you very much for your helpful response - it certainly gives us reassurance! It feels like it should be smooth, like you say, but we can't help getting a bit anxious as this is it! Whew. I'd greatly appreciate if your fiance could double-check the materials we have to bring, again just for reassurance and confidence going into it on Friday.

And congrats on your visa being issued today! It must be on its way then! How thrilling :D

4 business days.

Booking flight now (It's ridiculous how one way flights are more expensive and more hours than round trip).

When he picked up his visa, he was told to pay the DS 160 immigrant fee online. He needs to enter his Alien Registration Number (from NOA2?) and Department of State Case ID (case number) number. When he enters those he gets a message: "ERROR: We could not find the A-Number and/or DOS Case ID you entered. If your immigrant visa was approved recently, please wait five days before attempting to pay. If the problem continues after five days, please contact the Customer Contact Center for assistance."

We've also read that we do not have to pay that fee until he applies for GC. It's a little confusing. Was he told this only because it was processed as an immigrant visa? Since this is a nonimmigrant visa he doesn't have to pay?

Exciting his flight is booked! When will he arrive?

After the interview, did you fiancé have to 'schedule an appointment' on this website: http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ma/ma-niv-appointmentschedule.asp ?

My fiancé said that's what the officer told him...

I don't really understand it as it seems like you would need to track the visa instead on here: http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ma/ma-niv-passporttrack.asp.

Please could you advise what you did to make sure you got your passport and visa? It says to wait 3 business days from your interview to try to track it... His was only last Friday and today is a holiday, so I guess we will have to wait until Thursday or Friday to see if it's been issued. Or is there something else we have to do to make sure it gets processed?

Thanks!
