Not even close Ben Carson is the dream candidate for the GOP

Wet dream. They want to fantasize about him, pull out the jergens and that's about it. They want him as a dream, not a real life thing. He's just a dirty fantasy for them.

Just for the record I said dream only

I don't want any trouble

What you and Marvin don't get is the average conservative funding , could not care less what his skin color is.To burst your bubble , most Americans are more focused on the issues.

It's a win win. They get a candidate that supports thier issues plus they get street cred for voting for a black guy

If that was true, then why would they put Carson or Cain in the first place? Both are woefully uninformed on even the basic issues that concern the average voter.

Cain/Carson have zero knowledge on foreign policy. Both have zero experience when it comes to working within the government. Both only got surges when they started attacking Islam.

Dr. Carson is an accomplished surgeon. That within it's own right is astounding. But the GOP didn't even seek him out UNTIL he went after Obama. That's why they wanted him. Not because of his pedigree, but because he said things they wish they could without being called racist. That's how he was put on the map.

You're right about the last part, like I said, it makes you look less racist when you vote for the black guy. Too bad they only want those black guys who disparage other black people.

I think the polls put him in a top spot.

Yes god forbid we should elect a black guy with very little govt and foriegn policy experiance.

You do realize if he was a muddy ditch liberal you would be screaming about how racist it was that he was being attacked

It's official He has been deblacked

You got folks talking about how little experience Obama has and that dude was an Illinois Senator. Cain didn't even have that much nor did Carson. But what makes them so appealing to the conservative fan base? Their willingness to talk about Islam and say we're holding ourselves back.

If you think anything I'm saying is untrue, take a good look at Colin Powell. Remember him? He would have been the perfect candidate for the GOP, but he didn't hate Muslims, nor did he dislike Obama, and he actually talked about racism. Funny how he's MIA after speaking out about racism towards the President.

You actually have a point here. That and his "W T F are we doing" approach to the Iraq war and his questioning of fabricated stories about weapons of mass destruction. At the same time if Colin Powell sat at a table with Bernie they would nod and agree that cutting 1/4 of the black community out of society isn't working and people who do their time and pay their price need to be re-invited and re-integrated back into society, not live on the fringes for the rest of their life (white or black but it hits the black community harder and at much, much higher percentages).

In retrospect who was right? But yes, he's MIA and it's a shame.

I think Powell was right, but he went down with the ship with his cabinet. He's a Republican than anyone(but extremists) can vote for, but even if he wanted to run, they won't endorse him.

If he ran with John Mccain, I've vote for them. But one can only dream...
