Is it positive and beneficial to accompany my wife, who is a US citizen and my petitioner, to the visa interview?

Does that play a vital role to get visa approved? Your opinions please.

Maybe ask in the regional forum, not all embassies will let you bring your significant other with you...

NVC case numbers March 22nd
My sons AOS and IV bill paid March 23rd (status in progress)
My sons AOS and IV bill shows as paid March 26
My IV bill paid March 26
Both packages sent on March 26
My IV bill shows as paid on March 27th
CC on both cases March 30

Current record holder of fastest through the NVC :D

Medical exam in Stockholm April 13th
Interview on May 16th !!!
POE Anchorage July 12th!! 2012

July 2015 n-400 in the mail

September 2015, interview

October 23rd 2015, Oath ceremony!!!!!​​

Not all the embassies allow spouses for an interview. The interview will be like rapid fire round. Local person will come will verify your paper work and ask couple of questions and then they will ask you wait, after that US personal will come and verify those things meanwhile asking same and additional questions; depend on this they will provide their judgement. Sometimes they may notice that you are with your spouse and sometimes not, it all depend on your paperwork and your presentation at the time of interview. How true they feel about your story of your marriage? So stay cool man, ask embassy if they allow your spouse. I am not sure though but they might cross question you guys, because of anxiety sometimes answer did not match it cause delay and .... . So grom my view it is better to go alone since it is your interview, if they feel that they need something from you they will ask you to provide them within certain time.

When is your interview? We just started NVC so I'm guessing our interview will be in February or thereabouts. I am planning on going unless something prevents me from traveling at that time. I think it will help but I can't say for sure.

While you may not be admitted into the interview area itself, being either on or near the premises can only help your case. Whether or not it plays a "vital role" in the outcome depends on whether or not CO's at the Embassy in Islamabad routinely wish to speak with the petitioner before granting a visa.

December 8, 2010: Wedding date set; it will be on February 18, 2011!
February 9, 2011: Depart for China
February 11, 2011: Registered for marriage in Wuhan, officially married!!!
February 18, 2011: Wedding ceremony in Shiyan!!!
April 22, 2011: Mailed I-130 to Chicago
April 28, 2011: Received NOA1 via text/email, file routed to CSC (priority date April 25th)
April 29, 2011: Updated
May 3, 2011: Received NOA1 hardcopy in mail
July 26, 2011: Received NOA2 via text/email!!!
July 30, 2011: Received NOA2 hardcopy in mail
August 8, 2011: NVC received file
September 1, 2011: NVC case number assigned
September 2, 2011: AOS invoice received, OPTIN email for EP sent
September 7, 2011: Paid AOS bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 9, 2011)
September 8, 2011: OPTIN email accepted, GZO number assigned
September 10, 2011: Emailed AOS package
September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced
September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)
September 14, 2011: Emailed IV package
October 3, 2011: Emailed checklist response (checklist generated due to typo on Form DS-230)
October 6, 2011: Case complete at NVC
November 10, 2011: Interview - APPROVED!!!
December 7, 2011: POE - Sea-Tac Airport

September 17, 2013: Mailed I-751 to CSC

September 23, 2013: Received NOA1 in mail (receipt date September 19th)

October 16, 2013: Biometrics Appointment

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal
