Hi,

I read from the forum that we can proceed with scheduling for interview even without packet#3 as long as I already know my Case #.

My question is - are there any documents on the packet 3 that will be needed or required for the interview?

Or is it totally fine to go for the interview even without receiving the packet 3 at all?

US Embassy Manila still sends packet 3 but your will get it around 2 weeks from NOA2. You don't have to wait for it, you can go ahead on the next steps.

Packet 3 only contains a letter which states the same as the CEAC website when your check your case that will direct you to the US Embassy Manila documents requirements:

http://photos.state.gov/libraries/manila/1178798/feb2015/K1-K2%20Applicant%20Interview%20Preparation%20Instructions%20-%20English%20_February%202015_.pdf,

copy of your I-129F with WAC and MNL number, pamphlet on domestic violence and some info on K2.

However, you need a document reference of your MNL number, so you may crop the CEAC status and print several copies.

There is not a packet 3 (everything is online). The welcome letter with instructions to go online is just that - a welcome letter. MOST never receive any letter from USEM

Seriously? You just say that there is no packet 3 given the fact I said I received mine? It is an instruction letter how to proceed.

It's not a welcome letter either.

MOST never received it? I don't think so. People don't have to wait for it, YES and just proceed with the process with all the assistance here in VJ and other available resources, thus no one actually needs packet 3. I have seen several people received packet 3 from US Embassy Manila.

Hank and my experience is that most do not receive the P3. Hank didn't and I didn't and many who we have helped over the years to get their visa, have not also received the P3. So we still take the stand that "it will not arrive" because that is normally is what has happened in the past. Do some receive it? I am sure they do. But we would like to help and therefore we advocate not to wait for the P3 and follow our website's for a smoother processing through USEM by not waiting. We will always tell the applicant to call NVC to get there MNL# and begin the process of saving time, sometimes can be 2 months, even more if you are waiting for PhilPost to show up.

Yup there is an instructions letter telling you to go ONLINE .... but you sure as heck don't need to sit twiddling your thumbs waiting for it when you can go to the embassy website and download the same exact information.

And you are one of the RARE ones to have received it.
