Wow. It sounds like you went through an exhausting process. But I'm glad that it's over for you. I read that there's also a judicial option after the 120 days have passed, but I wonder how long that would take. With the government shutdown and a lot of backlog, that would probably take even longer. I will be contacting the director after the 120 days but that will probably be the last resort. May I ask if you used the field office's address for the letter?   Also did you apply under the 3-year rule?

It was very exhausting and stressful

the judicial option is open for you after the 120 days

i didnt consider that in my case because I didnt want to go through that road with USCIS as it would be costly and according to people it took them a good 4 to 5 months for the case to be heard or judged upon

and the judicial process would not guarantee an approval

it would just require USCIS to make a decision on your case and that can be refusal or approval

so I wanted to keep it friendly

plus the judicial process should only be pursued after you have exhausted all the administrative options

i filed under the 3 years and I found the directors address on USCIS website

just google  your fields office director and it will give you their name and the address to file

Thank you. I appreciate you sharing your experience. I’ll consider my options.
