I have used IPIPI.com for text messaging. It was pretty inexpensive. However, during this past year my DH was unable to respond to any of them. My cell phone carrier (alltel) does not send sms to Jordan. Are there any companies out there that work in Jordan? Does anyone use SMS companies like IPIPI?

Hi Wendy,

how are you - good to see you - been a while :)

Lio has umniah and I have tmobile. He receives my texts instantly and has no problem replying. I can reply to his messages as well. Not sure how much it costs him but for me it's .10 per text message I send or receive (intl that is). However, I pay $5 a month so that I have unlimited texting.

I never heard of the company you mentioned before.

Hope that helps a bit!

Hey :)

If you want to use messengers, yahoo messenger sends SMS easily! I had cingular and we could both reply to each other. Very seldom did we have problems. I'm not sure what carrier he used though.

I really like alltel. They have great customer service and are good to deal with. Their plans are actually pretty good. I really liked them.

Where I work now we get a discount however for Sprint... lol how are they?

Hi Wendy. I don't know about Michigan but in Chicago T-Mobile and Cingular are the only two that have text messaging to Jordan. If anyone knows of any other company, please let me know coz my husband would like to get service. We have U.S. cellular coz of the free incoming. But no text messaging to Jordan.

He can set up his mobile with yahoo (or you can with is permission) so that he can sign in via his phone..I can't remember exactly how it works but I know that if you use yahoo..it will say that the person will be notified via SMS when you msg them. Definitely look into it!
