I know this is from a doctor abroad but I think they outline age required vaccinations required by the US pretty well.

For age 65+ it's Tdap, Varicella (chickenpox), Flu and Pneumococcal, so if he's had the Tdap and Varicella vaccinations in the past (and has records) he's good to go.

Eighteen years in the US and I still don't understand Velveeta, TV ads for prescription drugs, only getting 2 weeks paid vacation, or why anyone believes anything they see on Fox "News".

I thought zoster was no longer a requirement for immigration? I agree that it's a good idea for over-60s to get a zoster vaccination just on general principles. Shingles is nasty.

You are correct, not an immigration-related requirement. I was going off of the CDC recs.

However, if you are going to get poked and prodded....why not just git 'er done? And yes, shingles can be very nasty.

YMMV.

Went to the doctor. Provided flu shot record from last month, Pnemococcal shot from last year and Tdap record from 2013 (had to reach out to his doctor in india to get the record). That is all was required. His TB skin test also came negative. Got the physicals done for just 95$
