Fiance and I went to MTL for my K1 visa interview. They didn't ask for D-160 confirmation page, any proof of the relationship or proof of his domicile in the states.

The CO asked me only a few questions about where I lived, but nothing on how we met and how long we've known each other.

He asked my fiance questions about his work.

He told us we are approved. Now I found out we can still be given 221-g even after an approval which is scaring me since we had all the documents but weren't asked to give many of them.

Its been a week, and the status still says READY... but the case creation date has changed to oct 30th (instead of aug 5th), last updated today but still says READY...should I be concerned?

I believe this is normal. The status date will change a few times until the status change. Congrats! You should see Issued soon.

it JUST changed to AP... wow I'm getting nervous

thank you! I hope I find out very soon. Is it a bad idea if/when the status changes to issued, for me to purchase tickets to the US? Or should I wait until I have the passport in hand? The problem is I need to give my work notice and I also have to move out at the end of the month of the place ive been renting... the CO said i should get everything back in 2 weeks (2 weeks from interview date would be oct 10).
