What is the correct way of filling up the online NBI form?

My schedule was 6:15am, I arrived there at 5:15am. The line was already long but it didn't matter once we got inside because the IV greeters would just make you line up again according to who came first. But I've read different situations before.

I got to talk to one applicant and she said she was already there at 3am but we both finished at the same time. I'll try to post my whole interview experience in a separate post.

I saw your other post.

Your wife filled out the NBI application using her maiden name? Why?? Is she not using your name legally? Is she applying a visa in her maiden name?

If she is using your name: on the Form her family name should be your last name, middle name is maiden name, Name

on the NBI form there is an portion other names/ AKA: this is here she should write her full maiden name: Ex. Maria (first name) Aguinaldo (middle name) Cruz (maiden name)

I am 100% sure she didn't write anything on the form on the other names/ AKA that's why she don't have it on the actual clearance. They just don't appear, you need to declare other names used. I will try to post a copy of my clearance via message separately. Or have your wife message me so that I can assist her.

Wife used her maiden name on the nbi clearance and my surname where ask for. Her name in her passport and visa is her married name. The immigrant summary sheet that came with her visa lists her maiden name as alias. Did not put aka on nbi, had no issues with nbi at embassy. Edited by Thozelle

JoRu16. It's also the same as mine and I had no problem at the interview yesterday.

I only used one name since birth (no corrections and no variations) until after I got married where I already used my married name.

I've been married only once so no other married names used.

If that's the same as your wife then I think she will be fine.

Also, please don't forget to bring CEMAR (Advisory on Marriage) I've seen a few yesterday who did not bring theirs.

I never got a letter from the embassy and thankfully I stumbled upon that requirement here. It saved me a lot of time.

Hi there. Been reading all the comments and the issue about AKA  is still confusing. If I need to have that on my clearance or not.? So heres my case. I just got married and will get NBI clearance with my married name for the first time. So it is a change of status as well. I havent use any names aside from my real name before. Do I need to add an AKA to my clearance?. Any update about this issue.?.

Answered your question in your other posting.

You are married ..  You will need an AKA for your maiden name.

Thanks Hank!. I put my maiden name as the AKA. Been to NBI office this morning and unfortunately I got a hit. Which never happened to me when I'm still single. Kinda weird!  Anyway. Hope will get it next week. Thanks again!

The encodet from NBI office told me that there’s a “bug” in the system.

If you choose to put an “AKA” on your NBI and any edits when you go to the NBI office your name will automatically get a “HIT”.

If you happen to have an AKA like me, the proper format to put your AKA is:

LAST NAME, FIRST NAME y MIDDLE NAME.

Make sure that all information are correct when doing the registration online. Should you have an AKA, a hit can not be avoided. Best to get your NBI ahead of time.
