I understand how you feel, but our country always comes around. In the end the Constitution always keeps the nutjobs at bay in the end. It's been under attack for over 200 years, and despite it being a old piece of rag it has withstood the heaviest winds. Even the puritans had to give up on their witch hunt. Furthermore, Cruz will not be elected president. Hillary or Sanders will have his derriere for breakfast on inauguration day.

I'll leave the thread open but I'm asking that we not discuss something I removed. I mean, the entire point of me removing it was to leave it out of the discussion. Common ground is the key here. This forum runs much better when we're not all taking shots across the bow at one another. I'll have to thread ban the next person that makes a personal attack or mentions the one I removed and I don't really want to. Nor do I really want to have a discussion on what anyone thinks I should be doing.

1. Janelle was pointing out how your examples of things going on in Islamic countries being the reason for not electing a Muslim president was hypocritcal when horrible things go on in Christian countries but aren't used to stop a christian running for president.

I did, still no go. Break it down for me.

Janelle failed to demonstrate, after being asked, that these horrible things are part of the law and ingrained in the legal systems in those countries which made the whole analogy pointless. In fact they are specifically illegal, unlike the issues I raised.

I broke it down. It does not matter that you did not get the comparison between a klansman running on a civil rights platform to a muslim running on a gay and women's rights platform and how that relates to credibility but everyone else does.

Replace Christianity with Judaism and that would be correct. Christians teach that Mosaic law ended with Jesus, making this another pointless analogy. You'll have to tangle with Oriz about Jewish practices but I highly doubt that they either teach, practice, or make this part of their law today.
