Sigh....

You have to realize cultural practices are mixed in with religious beliefs. Some religious beliefs can be practiced differently depending on the culture of the country.

I can assure you Marv isn't downplaying what's happening in ur video to make it less real by 'de-blacking' it.

Mentioned that in another thread.

You aren't changing the 100% comment though. That one stands. Probably why it got conveniently ignored.

Marvin can speak for Marvin and he hasn't addressed the whipping. Least he could have done is condemn it. All those millions of peaceful Muslims that Marvin keeps referencing don't condemn it either though. Don't condemn beating women on the street, don't condemn any of it. Hope that explains my voting decision. I want to vote for candidates who will stand up and condemn things like that.

C'mon, folks; no need to be too much in others' faces.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Who said anything about de-blacking? Show me where Ethiopians identify as black people. Meeting them myself, they find it an insult to be labeled as black.

Second, you made this about color remember? When you said you can't really talk when there are Muslim slave owners in Africa. I'm not from there nor do I own slaves, so can you explain to me why did you use that reference?

Actually more than one person agrees with me. But for your comment, that's YOUR perception.

You know what's the joke about this? Your unyielding support of Dr. Carson. Considering his violent past, you know, stabbing someone, smacking someone in the face with a padlock, being a thief, just an all round hoodlum, it's amazing you've come to grips with this. The GOP is calling him the first "Real" black president. Because apparently, you're not really black if you don't have a criminal record. And he's fighting to prove he was a violent youth, something most folks wouldn't do since it makes no real sense when you're running for the highest office in the land. "We hate the Obama guy, faking like he's black, Carson is the real deal, he was a gang member, he's got my vote!"

I tend to recall another violent youth that you still talk about all the time, what was his name? The lowest common denominator if I recall. If Carson was on the left, you'd call him a thug. But since he's a GOP candidate, I guess that makes it ok.

So know you are comparing Ben Carson to Michael Brown. ???

Marv respects my opinion. He isn't anti-women. Please show me where you condemn every single criminal act a white person does.

You know what? You shouldn't have to. Individuals should be judged off of their own individual act. However, this is never the case for blacks, people of Spanish decent or Muslims.

Why should I address the whipping? Am I responsible for it? I've made my feelings about human rights here very well known and I don't condone any type of violence. But if you want to play that game, let's do a thread check to see how many times you come in and condone violence when the person whose doing the killing is white? Or a gun owner since we're at it...

Also, you've given examples of Muslims everywhere EXCEPT but in the US, you know, where we're talking about at the moment?

So know you are comparing Ben Carson to Michael Brown. ???

Never said you are responsible for it. Said you embrace a system of beliefs that include, whether you acknowledge it or not (you don't have to, the film says it all), the idea that slavery and beating women is acceptable and that advocating open acceptance of those beliefs is advocating the return to slavery and beating women. What do you care though, your only interest was in the blackness of the victim.

Did not think it was family friendly to post the youtube of the maid who was hung upside down from the ceiling and beaten nearly to death or the maid who was covered with burns from the pot of boiling water her "owners" threw on her but these things happen routinely and commonly on the street in Muslim countries and it is the religious beliefs and teachings, the same ones that you embrace and advocate, that make it openly acceptable.

Again: It is not credible to accept those beliefs, advocate voting for someone who accepts those beliefs, and discuss human rights with the same mouth no more than it is credible to wear a hood and robe, practice those beliefs, and discuss civil rights with the same mouth.

Maids were Asian and definitely not black enough to matter to you anyway.

Check all the threads. You must have me confused with someone else (or) think everything one white person says should be attributed to every other white person. Either way please do so and you can publicly fail on that too.

I don't need to give examples of Muslims in the US. There are many, and nobody but you needs the list anyway. They range from Ft Hood/Chattanooga to the Muslim father in Texas who killed his daughter and her friend for being homosexual and the convert who walked into a church in Ohio with a Quran and killed his father.

I have a feeling Bernie will be backing off a bit now.
