Sure there is a difference. But when you think about it we were a Christian nation not ruled by Christian law but heavily followed. Look at gays, abortions, look at the allowing of interracial marriages (and yes, there are bible quotes against interracial marriages).

Our founders purposely make it to where we wouldn't be ruled by a religion. Which is awesome. Of course it's impossible to rule out people voting along faith lines. But that's why we have a Supreme Court. To make sure people don't vote in laws that contradict the constitution. Constitution can only be changed by amendments which are very difficult to pass. We are in no way ruled by Christianity in the way Islam is literally the law of the land many places. If you're an atheist like me, you wouldn't want to see any part of the world ruled by a religion. My point is not an will never be that Christianity is awesome and all of the worlds problems stem from Islam. But something I believe very strongly in is equal rights for women. Something they are not afforded in the Middle East. It may not be perfect here but it's a work in progress.

The most interesting thing is they will tell you the GOP is a party of racist old white guys. Take a look at the GOP candidates(race, ethnicity, nationality etc) now take a look and the dems this time round. Hmmmmmmm.

I'm glad to have Hillary running. If she lived in other Christian nations she would be kidnapped and a farmer instead of a prominent politician.
