How many places in the usa forbid woman to vote, hold jobs or drive .

Please stop using truths and facts...........

When I served in the military in the 90ties in Saudi Arabia there was religious police patrolling the area with whips to enforce dress code on the womenfolk

Please don't bring facts into this discussion......

It does seem that RO have replaced the silent treatment, in the wake of fights or break ups. Anyone can get one for virtually any reason. Having said that however, it doesn't justify why women are still being victimized and subjected to violence in our country, where there are laws to protect everyone.

Same here in Mass, just walk in and say you're afraid of someone and presto, RO in hand. What's really sad about it is that more than half of them are unwarranted, it ends up overloading the system and hurting the women that really need help. It's also something that stays with the man permanently, it's nearly impossible to have an RO removed from your record once it's been issued. In Mass, it's extremely difficult to get any sort of a firearm license or FID card with an RO on your record. I wish more people would stop and think a bit before allowing vengeance to take over your train of thought.

Facts can always be buried behind a wall- o- "look where some white people do it too"

That's getting old. Dunno why every thread discussion about anything deteriorates into a rant about race

Countries practicing bridal kidnapping

Krygystan

Kazakhstan

Moldova

Ethiopia

Rwanda

Kenya

Georgia

Occasionally, members of the Hmong ethnic group have engaged in bride kidnapping in the United States.[71] In some cases, the defendant has been allowed to plead a cultural defense to justify his abduction.[72] This defense has sometimes been successful. In 1985, Kong Moua, a Hmong man, kidnapped and raped a woman from a Californian college. He later claimed that this was an act of zij poj niam and was allowed to plead to false imprisonment only, instead of kidnapping and rape. The judge in this case considered cultural testimony as an explanation of the man's crime.[73]

There are plenty of countries that practice bridal kidnapping and these kidnappings are happening in Christian nations. If you condemn Islam, condemn these other nations too and fight for these other women who have no rights.

Of course it doesn't justify why women and little girls in this FIRST world Christian nation are subjected to such high numbers of violence and deaths, when we have laws here in place to protect women and girls.

Are there any countries, other than the Vatican, ruled by Christian law? Isn't there a difference between a country with a Christian majority and a Country that is literally ruled by Islamic law? Pretty much all of the western Christian majority countries have laws that are opposed to Christianity. Abortion, gay marriage, freedom of religion, yadda yadda yadda.

But it is far more expedient to point our fingers at other countries and cultures we don't understand. It makes us feel so much better and superior when we turn on the TV, and hear the news. Lower common denominator.

Yet having no issue whatsoever pointing a finger at Christianity. Isn't that hypocritical?

I already listed those countries but you left out billions of people in India and China. You're also about 4 pages late.

If a bride-napper comes on here complaining about bride-napo-phobia and whines about how bride nappers don't get a fair shake when they run for office they'll get condemned just like a Muslim who was championing women's and gay rights.

I'm sure there were klansmen who attended all the meetings and ceremonies but never actually did anything wrong but I wouldn't elect a klansman with a clean record on a civil rights platform either.

Again, you want to point out muslim countries and leave out countries of other religions.

Wrong is wrong regardless of the religion. I pointed out China before you. You should be less upset at the fact that there are Christian counties committing atrocities against women and more concorned with what's happening to women period.

What? Are you saying whats happening to these women are less important because the countries aren't "Vatican" ruled? Laughable

Its hard to answer this one. I can think of two countries where there is state sponsered Christianity - UK and Norway.

Does the bible form their laws? Not really.

Huh???

He said no such thing. How did you come to that conclusion?

She's not arguing my pony so much as what she thinks my point is. That's why these discussions are so pointless. I'm not the kind to respond in kind really so maybe I can't win.
