It is most certainly not practiced in Rwanda, Ethiopia, Kenya, South Africa, Chechnya, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Dagestan, Ingushetia, by ISIS, and by Boko Haram because it was "in the bible".

It is also not practiced in India, among the Hmongs, or in China or Japan because it's "in the bible" either.

That's why such individuals are not fit to be in the Oval; however, I do believe a POTUS should be able to keep his or her religion outside the affairs of state. How can anyone not be able to do so, and seek election?

Janelle failed to demonstrate, after being asked, that these horrible things are part of the law and ingrained in the legal systems in those countries which made the whole analogy pointless. In fact they are specifically illegal, unlike the issues I raised.

I broke it down. It does not matter that you did not get the comparison between a klansman running on a civil rights platform to a muslim running on a gay and women's rights platform and how that relates to credibility but everyone else does.

Considering the laws are so poorly lax when it comes to the above mentioned subjects, I can see why it was brought up. Not to mention how gays are treated in Christian countries, like Russia, which recently just decriminalized it back in 2006. Or in Uganda, or even Nigeria.

I did not get that from that statement. I believe it goes back to what Oriz and I were talking about earlier, religion and politics should be separated by a wall, just like our snuff-sniffing forefathers said they should. ALL religions.
