That's my concern. The Dem's need to nominate a strong candidate and I'm not sure Gore is the right person. I think most Dems would vote for him - I know I would - but would those on the fence or those leaning right vote for Gore?

so far with the offerings the dems have made, it's like reruns on tv. nothing exciting. i'd be happy to see dukakis come back into the spotlight.

U.S. politics is nothing but a "popularity/entertainment" contest. God forbid someone actually willing to do something good for the American people gets elected, instead of just looking pretty for the cameras and making nice statements for sound bytes on television and radio shows.

I for one would rather have a clear conscience. I don't want to get to the age of 60 and realise "hey, looks like they were right about global warming after alll" while my grandchildren run around in factor 5000 sunblock, coughing on smog and giving me that look of innocence that would say-if it knew better-what have all you ignorant f***s done to my generation!

You know the carbon offsets that Al Gore buys? HE OWNS THE COMPANY!!! He's even a bigger hypocrite than I thought.

"But how Gore buys his "carbon offsets," as revealed by The Tennessean raises serious questions. According to the newspaper's report, Gore buys his carbon offsets through Generation Investment Management:

Gore helped found Generation Investment Management, through which he and others pay for offsets. The firm invests the money in solar, wind and other projects that reduce energy consumption around the globe . . ."

Ok I know that's what you and some other people and a handful of scientists think.

I don't even believe the handfull of scientists who are willing to sell their souls to "debunk" GW actually believe there is no such thing as man-made GW. I think there are hacks in every profession, and these people like green, too, just a different kind.

2 more light bulbs went out last night, so have now added 2 more energy saving light bulbs to the collection.

None of the energy saving bulbs have blown yet - we go through so many regular bulbs that it shouldn't be muuch longer until we have all energy savers in the house.
