how often did they update your CEAC status? i heard that if they are going to issue visa. they do more updates in last week or days. share your experience ? please

4.5 months was for us. Nobody can tell you how long it will take. Some people even wait years (in rare instances). Best wishes for good news soon.

Yes I have heard that also . With my case they update the status like times on its own and then 3 when I wrote emails and once when I asked for help at the help desk and they answed me the same thing that my case is under administrative processing . What about yours ????

In our case they updated it few days after the interview and the time AP was finished and visa approved. So for 4 months was not touched at all. In our case I believe they were just waiting for security checks and once they were completed visa was approved.

Yeah. I also heard that if they didnot update. they may waiting some answers from the concerned agencies. when they receive some info about your case. they touch your case file.

did they inform you when they complete the AP?

In our case they updated it few days after the interview and the time AP was finished and visa approved. So for 4 months was not touched at all. In our case I believe they were just waiting for security checks and once they were completed visa was approved.

The Embassy that handled our case posts case numbers online. They did not notify us, but posted on their website. I kept checking it everyday. Every embassy works differently.
