-Filed ROC in NOV/14.

-Got a NOA in January/15.

-Biometrics in March/15.

-As of August/15 a NOA by mail case had been transferred from VT to CA Processing Center.

-Very next day get another status online saying that my local office had my case.( which many here had gone thru) -

-October/15 Got the 2nd Interview notice.

-Today my wife and I came in and this elderly man on his 70's couldn't be anymore polite. asked us questions together about our marriage and then he said we're approved!

-Still don't get why they called us for a second interview without RFE notice before but it all seemed just formality.

Anyways! Hope the ones who are going thru the same get a similar outcome soon( Without the 2nd interview, of course! because we spent U$ 500 to have an attorney come in with us)

05/22/06 - Biometrics scheduled (online update) and appt letter was mailed on 05/20/16 - Day 12

05/24/06 - Biometrics letter became viewable online (appt scheduled for 06/07/16) - Day 14

05/27/16 - Received Biometrics letter in mail - Day 17

05/31/16 - Was denied walk-in fingerprints with just 1 person left in line. Milwaukee office, boo! - Day 21

Oh, so you did not have 2 ROC interviews then? I thought you got a notice for an interview for the ROC without first receiving an RFE and then received a 2nd notice for an ROC interview (still after no RFE). Phew! :):):)

Can you clarify this please? by second interview you mean you guys had 2 ROC interviews or one AOS and one ROC?

Can you clarify this please? by second interview you mean you guys had 2 ROC interviews or one AOS and one ROC?

meant to say 2nd interview as in the entire process.. not everyone gets the so called and fearful " 2nd interview". We had the first one when we filed the initial petition then we'd thought " well... they will either send the permanent card or a REF" Nope, straight to interview again after filing I-751.

I know, right? but I was surprised tho. just formality, never separated us and within 20 min approved and we were out. go figure..

oh no lol Just the so called and feared " 2nd interview" throughout the entire process. We only brought an attorney because we were scared if they were gonna try to put devices in our heads to make us say stuff. lol

I don't understand your concern about the 2nd interview to ROC.

Yes, as I understand it, most do not have to go to this second interview.

But still, we know that some do go, perhaps in a random choosing of every 10th file or some such.

So we all know it is not unheard of, even when there is absolutely not a problem.

Thus $500 for a standard (even at 10-20% of time) procedure?

July 22, 2017  ROC packet sent to Vermont.

July 24, 2017  ROC packet signed for in Vermont.

August 8, 2017  NOA received at house.  15 days since ROC signed for in VSC.

August 12, 2017 ASC appointment received. 19 days since ROC in VSC.

August 25, 2017 BIO completed. 32 days since ROC received in VSC.

August 11, 2018  18 month 'Courtesy Copy' extension letter received.  Critical number  297

October 20, 2018 18 month 'Official' extension letter received.  Critical number 297

December 4, 2018  USCIS Account shows: We approved your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, 

December 4, 2018, ordered your new card for Receipt # EAC17297003XX, and will mail to the address you gave.

491 days from NOA issued by VSC until Petition approved.

December 7, 2018 USCIS sent notice:  Card mailed.

December 12, 2018 Ten year Green Card received from Lees Summit, MO

499 days from NOA issued by VSC until Green Card received.

CITIZENSHIP PROCESS

December 6, 2018 submitted N-400 application on-line.  Estimated Completion Time: 8 months or August 2019.

December 8, 2018 received notice on USCIS that Biometrics scheduled . . . but the actual date was not yet shown.

December 11, 2018 saw in 'Documents' section of USCIS that Bio scheduled for 24 December 2018.

December 21, 2018 saw on USCIS website that they will be closed 24 December 2018 as extra holiday.

January 9, 2019 went for re-scheduled BIO appointment.  33 days after N-400 submitted on-line.

February 19, 2019 received letter in US mail that Citizenship interview scheduled for 26 March 2019. 74 days after submission on-line.

March 26, 2019 Citizenship interview scheduled for.  109 days after N-400 submitted on-line.

March 26, 2019 Passed Citizenship interview.

April 12, 2019  Received notice that Oath Ceremony had been scheduled for 24 April 2019.  17 days after interview.

April 24, 2019  Oath Ceremony completed.  29 days after interview.     139 days after N-400 submitted on-line.

April 25, 2019  USA Passport Application submitted.

May 3, 2019     USA Passport received.    149 days after N-400 submitted on-line.

May 9, 2019     Certificate of Naturalization and Citizenship returned in mail.
