Hi, Mr & Mrs Owl...

Let me ask you a question:

When you were waiting for your Oath letter, did they (Los Angeles) update your status to "Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled", after that to "We scheduled your oath ceremony.."? Or, they just skip to "We scheduled your oath ceremony.." from "A interview was scheduled"

Thank you in advance!

Congrats! You are almost done!

It currently says "Oath Ceremony Notice Was Mailed", but I am not sure if there was another message prior to that.

I received my Oath ceremony notice, then a couple days after I received another notice stating "Oath Ceremony Descheduled by USCIS"

"We will advise you of any further action taken on this case, including any rescheduled interview information, under separate notice"

#######????? :crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying: Why???

Does this mean i may have another interview???

Has anybody else here received such a notice?

**side note i applied under the 3 year rule.

No more interviews! Otherwise they would have sent you another interview notice! Wait for a new Oath ceremony notice! Some times local offices are so backed up and only need a specific number of Oath takers per day! Congrats in advance!

Newark, NJ - Interview and Oath Experience

7:30am - arrived at the location

8:00am - appointment

9:15am - inquiry about the waiting time (informed that 3-hour wait to be called is normal proceeding)

10:15am - called for an interview

10:30am - end of interview.

No documents were asked. I have been in the country legally for 15-years. Note that I did not provide any documentation along with my N-400 application as well. I filed based on 3-year rule. Interviewer did ask me about my profession, my graduate school, my wristwatch along with the usual verification of the application and 10-citizenship questions.

11:00am - signed the naturalization certificate and returned all the prior greencards

12:00noon - oath ceremony and receipt of naturalization certificate

1:00pm - left the building. I had a 3:00pm flight from Newark to continue with my work travels. So overall, it worked out well.

The ceremony was in a makeshift room as the designated hall/room are under repairs. Hence, it was not spectacular or memorable as some of the folks here have noted their ceremonies were. I did not care, since I was just hoping to complete all the proceedings well ahead of my travels.

I have a question. I am about to move to San Diego next week. Should I update my case in the USCIS website for a change of address? or Call them directly and set up an info pass appointment with the new San Diego address?

Will this change delay my application. I have been waiting for the interview letter and nothing yet.

No change whatsoever.

Please help with any sort of advice

thanks

I would suggest infopass since you are moving so soon. That will help ensure the change is made in as timely manner as possible.

1) You have to file an AR11 change of address form. This is a requirement for all green card holders within 10 days of moving.

2) You should update your address through your online account. This update is specific to your N400 application.

3) You can, if you want, make in infopass after you've done the first two.

Transferring from one office to another does take some time but whether or not this results in a delay depends on how fast your old and new offices are. Moving from a slow office to a new office might mean finishing faster even if there is a slight delay caused by the transfer.

Hi There, \its my first time to this forum

i am seeking any kind of help regarding my N400 application, i applied on october 3rd and my case was accepted on the 8th of oct. since then i have not received any kind of updates, its almost 8 months now and nothing has changed, i submitted a case inquiry and this was the response:

"Based on your inquiry, we have reviewed the status of your case and found that it remains under active examination. This office acknowledges the completion of your case being outside of the normal processing and realizes the inconvenience it may cause. The delay has been necessary in order to ensure the thorough processing of your case and provide you with the best possible service. USCIS will notify you as soon as possible if any further information is needed from you, or when a decision has been made."
