Hi

I have my interview next week. I dont have enough time to order my transcripts, I thought that bringing the folders from when we filed out taxes was fine, specially since I submited my trasnscripts before.

Vi Mazzella - good luck for the interview. If you prefer, you can do a walk-in at your local IRS office and get the transcripts printed. Make sure that you have a valid ID. Also, depending upon the rush it could take 5-mins to whatever!

My son's interview is on Monday as well. I will get to sit in the waiting room while he is hopefully answering all the questions correctly!

Oath is next week and the letter says to bring any docs issued by them. It's been over five years since they got a green card so any work auths or travel docs we may have gotten in the first month or two are way expired and who knows where they would be. I'm guessing they just really need his green card more than anything. Thoughts? Maybe I should go ask on the Sept board?

We got our interview letter with an interview appointment scheduled for March 24. Unfortunately, we already had a trip planned to visit a sick aunt in New York which started about 10 hours before the interview time. Bad luck! We really didn't want to reschedule the interview because I've read so many bad things here about doing that, but we decided to try our luck and reschedule anyway. Just today, we got a new appointment date!

Our letter date is Feb 29, and our interview date is April 6. The countdown begins to the big date!!

My N400 application was recommended for approval today and I was told my oath ceremony will take place latest the end of the month. This was at the Dallas TX field office. I got there at 8 am as scheduled and I was called in for the interview at 9 am. The officer first administered the English, Civics, and history test. After I passed those he went over the information I supplied in my N400 application. Basically just verifying the information. Pretty Straightforward. The interview lasted only about 10-15 mins. I asked the officer if the Dallas TX field office offers same day oaths. He told me that those have not been taking place for quite a while now. However I noticed they have not updated the information on their website.

I just returned from Atlanta. Passed the Interview and did the same day oath ceremony. I am a USC now. Please update.

My son passed the interview just fine yesterday -- gave him paperwork saying he was approved and an envelope for passport application. They said he will be advised as to the date for Naturalization ceremony.

Should add that he did carry in a big folder with the last 12 months of bank and credit card info, University ID and enrolment verification, but was asked for none of it. The interview started 50 minutes after appointment time. The interview was an hour long (which worried my husband and I that were sitting in waiting area) My son said it was a relaxed and informal interview but a lot of time was spent "visiting".

He said he started with the test questions and they were: how many voting members in house; who is father of country; name of current Chief Justice of Supreme Court; name a war in 1900's....and my son can't remember the last question.
