:dance:HE PASSED!!

He was so nervous but did great. I timed him and from the minute they called him in to the minute he walked out was about 20 minutes. He said they went over his paperwork, had him do the sentence, answer six questions from the list and that was that. Oath is in March!!

I used this blog in the past a lot to get information I needed. It has been really helpful. I figured that I'll just register to give some updates about my own timeline.

I am not familiar with formatting the information the way you guys may want it but I hope this helps.

N400 (Dallas Resident) (Filed at Dallas Lockbox located in Lewisville, TX) (Dallas Field office Case)

I became a permanent resident on February 5th 2013 and was eligible to be a citizen by February 5th 2016

(Spouse of US citizen). I filed 90 days early (90 days before February 5th 2016)

Sent my N400 package via USPS November 6th.

It was delivered to USCIS November 9th

Text message confirmation and USCIS Case Status online confirmed acceptance of my package on November 12th (Check was also cashed November 12th)

The actual paper notice of acceptance came in the mail November 13th

(The paper notice that came in the mail stated that my package was accepted by USCIS on November 9th which falls in line with the USPS delivery date)

Biometrics letter came in on November 16th (Appointment Scheduled for December 1st)

On December 1st I did my biometrics.

On January 5th 2016 my case status online was Changed to "Case is in line for an interview"

On February 1st 2016 my case status online was changed to "Interview has been Scheduled"

On February 4th 2016 I received my interview notice in the mail (Interview Scheduled for Monday March 7th 2016 at 8 a.m.)

If I get approved on March 7th, It will be exactly 122 days from the day I sent my package. (17 weeks and 3 days total) or roughly (4 months 1 week)

This total time has not taken into account the oath ceremony but I'll explain.

Regarding the oath ceremony

I read on the USCIS website that Dallas field office offers same day oath ceremonies. This office also offers 3 Judicial Ceremonies monthly.

"The Dallas Field Office conducts Judicial Ceremonies approximately 3 times per month and Administrative Ceremonies on a daily basis. This office does conduct same-day naturalization ceremonies." - USCIS

I also read some forums that said those who have appointments in the morning are usually able to take the oath same day but there's a little catch.

Someone also wrote somewhere that the oaths are done mainly on Tuesdays and Thursdays which made me a little sad because my interview is on Monday morning.

I really wanted to get everything out of the way quickly so I could travel out of the country.

They even have volunteers out there on Tuesdays and Thursdays to register people to vote as soon as they take their oaths.

I hope I can be able to take my oath the same day but the information is conflicting. Even though the USCIS website explicitly states that same day oaths are offered. Its also important to take into account the other people's personal experiences. Right Now, I'll just have to wait and see what happens. I'll give you guys updates if anything changes.

Finally got the interview letter to day in the mail today. I am updating my info. Also I wanna point out that my Field Office is San Francisco. It has been taking a little longer than usual for this location but it looks like they are moving along. Hopefully other fellow San Franciscans start to receive their letters soon.
