Somewhere at the bottom of your biometrics letter, it tells you to ask for an information packet while you're there. But most locations know that they're supposed to give it to you without asking.

As the previous poster said, all the same information is available on the USCIS website.

Nice to see all this good news from you both :luv:

OMG!!! I'm so happy for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAAAAY!!!

and and...I have good news too!!!

I got a voicemail from the IO who will be handling my case (she handles the military cases) and I called her back and she said that the computer scheduled my interview before they had a chance to do it so they had to cancel it. My new interview schedule is January 22!!! I'm so happy!!! She also said that if everything goes well in my interview and paperwork, I can have my oath on the same day!!!

Question for you guys:

I have received the NOA and the Biometrics appointment notice dated December 23, 2015. Due to a trip I had planned at the time I did a walk in at the Immigration Support Center and had my biometrics captured on December 15th

My question is: Will I be getting a notice for the interview date any time soon? Does my wife need to go to the interview with me (for the married to US citizen for 3 years case)?

What is the "Case Is In Line For An Interview" letter and how come i had not received it?

After the biometrics were captured I had not received any correspondence from USCIS

Your wife does NOT need to come to the interview even if you are applying for citizenship through marriage, but you have to bring her birth certificate and a few other things that will be on the interview letter. You should get "in line for interview letter" whenever your background check clears out, for some people faster for some slower. I would say give it 6 weeks and if you don't hear anything you can probably call. Also I just checked my status online and it said "in line for interview" I never really got a letter, but I got the letter for the interview appointment.

I agree with the previous responder that your wife does not need to go. He's got good advice on what to take with you.

I just want to let you know, that there is no "in line" letter. No one gets one. It's just a status update online or by text/email if you have signed up for that.

You may be placed inline any time after bio, although if you applied early, they sometimes wait until you are 1 month out from your green card anniversary before placing you in line (although this isn't always the case).

Some people are placed in line 2 days after biometrics and then wait 3 months for an interview, while others wait 3 months to be placed in line and the get an interview letter the same week. It'll depend on how long your background check takes and how busy your field office is.

Me and F & J are keeping our fingers crossed you all get appointment letters soon:)

I will go and spend some time studying today:) So excited to go and interview for my citizenship:)
