Did not get back birth certificate

Hi all,

Can anyone speculate on how many original birth certificates and original divorce decrees we will need in total for the entire process? We know we need one each for the interview in CDJ and one each for a marriage license. But how many more do we need for AOS interviews, SS card application, job interviews, etc.

Obviously we can't reenter Mexico to get these bc we won't yet have AP-anything you can tell us would be great.

Get a couple more official copies of your birth certificate to take with you to the US. That way you won't have to scramble if you need one later.

You'll need another for AOS.

He said they kept his original birth certificate and the copy. Is that normal?
