Consulate received wait time

This is specifically for the consulate in South Africa. Once it receives your case how long does it take for them to send packet 3? According to CEAC my case is ready as of Oct 28. According to DHL tracker they received our case Oct 28th. I've seen on a few people's timeline that they received packet 3 on the same day the consulate received their case, however this has not happened. How long should i wait before calling/emailing them?

Ok well. i broke down and called the consulate. Of course they don't take calls. But now i'm even more confused as the automated message said "i should receive interview confirmation from the NVC and then i can email the consulate".

Anyway i emailed them regardless.

How did you track it with dhl? Our case was just sent to South Africa as well and just wondering how it's all going to happen from here on out! HOw long did it take for you to get notice about the interview and was it by mail or email?
