Hi guys,

Yesterday we had our ROC interview and it went great. We got aproaved on the spot. We are sooooo happy. I know people probably have asked that question before but how long does it take to get the card - i am asking only because we will be travelling beggining of december and i was wandering if i should get an INFO pass and get a stamp. Thanks

Hey, This varies a lot, I can tell you about my case...the date on my approval letter is 10/06/2016, and I received my GC today 11/02/2016. I made an infopass on 10/22/2016 and they told me that current estimated time to receive GC from the date of approval letter is 1 month.

They estimated that I should receive my GC by 11/04/2016 because 11/06/2016 is Sunday, they also suggested to make another infopass on 11/07/2016 if I don't receive the GC by 11/04/2016. Hope this helps, Congratulations and Good Luck!

So I filed for a service request 15 days ago. They just repsond and said that " Your petition/application is still pending consideration. Your file is currently with an officer for processing. Please give 60 days for a response. "

What does it mean?

Hello Everyone

I have been a silent reader of this forum and I'm also a November filer for Vermont location. I haven't heard anything yet and the date when USCIS received my case is Nov 30, 2015. I tried calling USCIS and they are saying that your case is in a queue and will be addressed within 30-45 days. Can anyone please suggest me any actions that i should take at this time or shall i just wait till the end of this month?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Vik

Hi Vik,

My NOA was dated November 17, 2015 and, like you, I'm still waiting. I spoke with a Tier 2 officer on Monday who informed me that, going by his records, an agent was looking at my application in October which he assured me is a good sign.

I have made an InfoPass appointment for next week where I will request a further one year extension, and I recommend that you look into doing the same. You can make an InfoPass appointment by going to uscis.gov and clicking 'Make an Appointment'. When you attend you should bring all documentation relevant to your case and a valid passport so that they can paste in a note that you have a one year extension.

Good luck with the wait, and try not to go crazy checking the USCIS website all day every day (I'm a fine one to talk  ). There seem to be a lot of us in the same situation.

Thank You for your help. Last night at 10pm (so weird) i got a text message and an e-mail that my card is being in production so i believe i will receive it on time. Hopefully next Saturday or something. We are so happy that it is over. Next step will be applying for citizenship.

Its already pass a year since I filled. What should I do? I made a SR and they said I still have to wait :(

Go ahead and file for citizenship, that's what I did. I'm also past a year and still waiting. Looks like they have some significant bottle neck that ground things to a halt. All the best

Thank you! How long did you got your card in the mail?

I think two weeks. Took a while for them to produce my card and giving me a tracking number. I didn't receive a text. I have to depend on online status. Are you applying for citizenship?
