To qualify for SB-1 visa the person has to prove:

-Had the status of a lawful permanent resident at the time of departure from the United States;

-Departed from the United States with the intention of returning and have not abandoned this intention; and

-Are returning to the United States from a temporary visit abroad and, if the stay abroad was protracted, this was caused by reasons beyond your control and for which you were not responsible.

Hypnos gave the right information, you failed to file for RoC then your LPR status automatically expired. You do NOT QUALIFY for SB-1 visa.

GC abandonment, 2 kids with a new husband, oh no

not even Shusterman could pull this one off, in the

future you can enter the US by another visa maybe,

if you had the card & try to entire I hardly believe CBP

would ease up 5 yrs is a long time...Please dont pay

an atty to recoup this card. MAYBE you can get a

B1/2 isa to visit as long as you show very strong ties

to your country now & disclose new husband & kids,

your argument that you had a GC & left and now wants

to visit may be in your favor

OP has not stated what her reasons were.

An observation, she is from a Muslim country where women would have few if any rights.
