My interview was today 25th at 11am in USA Embassy in Lima - Peru.
And finally: APPROVED !!!!!!
First I want to thank God for this huge blessing !!!
And also thanks to all of you, that could help me with my questions, thanks dwheels because you suggested me to ask about the support with my passport and they are going to help me: I only need to go to DHL after my trip to Cozumel Island, then I can leave my passport in DHL office and Embassy will send it to DHL again including the visa.
Just for your information, these were the questions:
- Do you speak English? - I said yes (but my interview was in Spanish)
- My complete name
- Where and when did you meet your husband?
- What happened after you met him in that app? - She refers about when we met personally and also I talked about my B1/B2 visa, so she asked for my old passport.
- What do you like the most from your husband? - In this part, I got emotional talking about him, I was thinking about his face and the way he is with me and awww he´s my sunshine !
- Why did you start the paperwork on March if you got married on December ? - I explained because of the wedding we did not have the money to send the papers before.
- Also she said: Dont you see him since the wedding? - I said no, because I went to USA for his birthday in October, so I don´t see him since last month.
She took my old passport and with my B1/B2 Visa...and she has cancelled my tourism visa with a big stamp.
Then she said: your visa is approved, you can get your passport in 5 - 10 days (because it´s Thanksgiving tomorrow + Black Friday, so I´m losing like 4 days this week)
Oh myyyy... such a wonderful moment !!!!!!
In that moment I asked her a support, because we will have our honeymoon next week (it´s our 1st wedding anniversary) and I need my passport to go to Mexico, so she asked when I will go back and gave me the option to send my passport through DHL and they will receive it, stamped it and send it back by DHL.
That was all... many questions but I answered them with a honest heart and I´m sure she realized it.
I wish you all good luck on this process.... It took 9 months for us, but finally is done !

Thanks for the response and lets hope that this will be the last 2 weeks at the NVC. My case has been over a year including the USCIS and NVC process and now I am eagerly waiting for it to be over.

Just got off the phone with NVC. Finally the guy told me that our case is complete...I had to ask him like 3 times because I didn't believe him. Because he said "Well it looks like we have everything

OMG! I called about few hours earlier and a lady told me to wait until Monday, but now I got the 3rd N/A. Guess I need to call now to confirm it while the lines are still open. Scan date Oct. 23rd. Good luck guys :joy:

Brentos, mine took exactly 7 days. Got CC on the 16th and the email confirmation on the 23rd, early in the morning. But why don't you call them? :) They will tell you the date your case was completed.

I just called NVC now. Case complete was on November 17th. So now I know the real date.

Also, I know it is almost 10pm EST but I just called and got connected right away and then after pressing 1 and then 7 to speak to a specialist, there was no hold music or anything and it just rang right away and connected me to an agent. From first dial till being down on the phone with them was less then 2 minutes.

So if anyone needs to call NVC to ask anything, now might be a really good time!

2015-10-11: Resubmit via EP after being told to do so on 2015-10-09 as it looked like our original emails were lost

2015-10-16: Received email for scan date of 2015-10-12. Told that basically nothing can be done and we need to wait 30 days from 2015-10-12 (30+ days lost because they lost our emails)

2015-10-26: Told case is basically complete but that they are building my electronic file. Told there is no timeline for this.

2015-10-30 & 2015-11-13: Still told no update. Building electronic file still and no timeline.

2015-11-17: Case Complete

2015-12-03: Receive packet 4

2015-12-15: Medical

2015-12-18: Medical picked up results

2016-01-12: Interview - Approved!

2016-02-03: POE

I am moving next weekend and just filled out our DS-260, using the new address, as this is where we will be living when my husband comes to the US.

Does anyone know if this will be a problem and/or how I can change my address with NVC?

You must call NVC to inform them. I believe it is option 6 for changing your address.

My husband was approved on November 18th and received his visa on November 24th, and flies home to me on November 29th!

This is just a friendly reminder that NVC and your embassy will be closed on Thursday, November 26, 2015, in observance of Thanksgiving.

Business will resume on Friday.

But for those who don't want to be in the Friday rush hour (Busy day of business), I would suggest calling for updates on Monday. :)

I got an RFE for a missing DS260 (that I couldn't submit because of a website error).

After calling for 3 weeks to fix the "Application Error" i would get at the Review stage of the DS260 I finally managed to submit it on Tuesday. Yesterday I received an email requesting for further evidence, claiming the DS260 was missing.

Does my 30 days clock start again for this stupid glitch? :cry:

Of course I will call them tomorrow. Btw, Happy Thanksgiving everybody!

Maybe the email went out before your submission was logged in your file, or something...here's hoping you get a fast review!
