Saw 3 N/As today, called the rep and got confirmation that we have our CC :D Our scan date was Oct 19. Good luck to everyone, stay positive guys!!

That`s so cool! Congrats!

And I`m still waiting, scan date was on Oct13th.... wonder if it`s a sign of a trouble... Can`t help myself, I`m worried.

Thanks for the response and lets hope that this will be the last 2 weeks at the NVC. My case has been over a year including the USCIS and NVC process and now I am eagerly waiting for it to be over.

MrsCrabs, did you call NVC? Make them aware it is way past the 30 days limit... That's what I did with my case. It was the 33rd day and i called them. The rep put a note for my case and in few hrs I had CC. Call them today! Good luck!

Hey! We do call NVC almost everyday, but the answer is the same - it`s not reviewed yet. Husband didn`t want to put it under Supervisor`s review to avoid more 42 days of waiting and I don`t know where this choice is leading us.

My 2nd scan date was 16th November and I have been calling nvc since the 16th and the rep I spoke to said its the 30th day and it will be reviewed that day, and he also said my ds260 has not been reviewed yet: I filled my ds260 on the 18th of June and I wonder why he meant by it has not been reviewed, please does anyone have idean what DAT means, I also called again on the 19th and anoda rep told me that he will put a note that he will have a supervisor review my case, I am worried as I am still yet to get a case complete.

They scan all the documents received from you for the IV and AOS package. They review every single document you submitted to make sure you have everything needed before completing your case and sending it to the embassy.

That is why they need time to go thru everything.

USCIS has nothing to do with NVC, as far as documents go.

This isn't true. Your hard copy file gets sent from USCIS to NVC. So they have everything that you sent from USCIS at NVC. That is what they are actually getting when they get your case from USCIS. USCIS does not send anything to the Embassy or Consulate, the NVC is like the go between for all that.

NVC will send your file from USCIS to the Embassy or Consulate for your interview. If you do electronic processing, they do scan your documents in to make an electronic file. Not sure of they have started doing that for all files. I know right now I am stuck waiting for my CC because they are creating my electronic file (scanning USCIS documents) so that it can all be sent to the Embassy or Consulate. There is some sort of backlog. They could have decided to start scanning everyone case if they are going to start making a push to do it all electronically. But that I am not sure.

I totally agree with you. It does not make any sense that USICS sends case documents directly to the embassies.

11-04-2015 Received NOA2 via email. (56 days after NOA1)

11-08-2015 My wife ends visit and returns to Colombia to wait for interview :(

11-09-2015 Received I-797 via snail mail. (NOA2)

STAGE 2: NVC

11-16-2015 NVC received our case,(12 days after NOA2).

12-07-2015 Emailed inquiry to NVC to inform them my email. http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/contact.html

12-08-2015 NVC assigned case and invoice ID number,(34 days after NOA2) Case was assigned after 13:00 PM. I called at 12:30 then at 19:00 PM

12-08-2015 Completed Choice of Agent DS-261

12-09-2015 Received 2 emails with Welcome Letters for my wife and I, they were sent by ASKnvc@state.gov

12-09-2015 AOS bill became available and I paid it. (IN PROCESS)

12-12-2015 Mailed AOS and IV packages.

02-02-2016 Received Interview Letter (P4) via email.

02-09-2016 Package picked-up by DHL at 15:29 Waybill 5992952011. CEAC status "IN TRANSIT"

STAGE 3: US Embassy Bogota

02-11-2016 US Embassy Bogota received my package at 10:39.

02-12-2016 CEAC Visa Status changed from "IN TRANSIT" to "READY"

02-24-2016 Lab exams at the clinic and Bio-metrics at the CAS center.

02-25-2016 Medical Exams.

03-01-2016 Interview Date (175 days after I mailed I-130) VISA APPROVED. CEAC status changed to AP

03-02-2016 Paid Immigrant Visa Fee via ELIS account. CEAC status changed to ISSUED

03-03-2016 US Embassy Bogota sends Passport and Visa package via DHL Waybill 2900131780 to Cali.

03-04-2016 My wife picked up at DHL sealed approved IV package and her passport with a stamped I-551 IV Category CR1.

From what I gathered the same file that was submitted to the USCIS containing every relevant piece of information and evidence toward your case will be forwarded by the NVC to the respective consulate or embassy. My cousin when he went for his interview the physical file in the same envelope was there opened at the embassy in Jamaica.

Just got off the phone with NVC.

Because he said "Well it looks like we have everything we need from you", which is what they have told me for almost the last month then tell me about the backlog creating the electronic file etc...so I asked him and he said no everything looks good and you are in line to be scheduled for an interview.

Resubmitted with Scan date of October 12th.

Case complete November 20th (not sure on the exact date...I forgot to ask him I was too excited).

I am probably going to call back Monday to ask again...as I am still like...."are you sure??" :joy:
